The humble gherkin. Usually we encounter this unassuming green fruit pickled or sliced and flung atop a salad. But the cucumber has so much more to offer us. It is a remarkably refreshing gourd with the power to cool a dry tongue and when just two sliced wheels are placed atop the eyes of a lounging lass in a stock photo ad for a spa the mythical cucumber has the magical ability to justify obscene spa service fees. Truly an amazing botanical gift to the world. We chose to employ the cucumber in a low gravity Saison to create a refreshing seasonal ale redolent with notes of honey, tropical fruit, lemon bitterness, and of course cucumbers. Brewed as a survival tool for the Florida Summer this cucumber creation features Citra and Sorachi Ace hops. So put some cucumber wheels on your eyes, lean back, relax and enjoy. Ahhhhhhh.

Flight at the brewery. Clody yellow body with a small white head. Light bread, light grain, light yeast, veggies and cucumber wich is dominating the aroma and taste. Not a favourite.

Wonderful beer. Nice and tasty but not in your face. Has a great back end aroma. Seems very floral in the back end.

Bottle: Poured a dirty cloudy beige color ale with a super large off-white foamy head with good retention and some great lacing. Aroma of cucumber is actually quiet dominant with some peppery yeast notes also easily identifiable. Taste is dominated by cucumber notes with loads of peppery yeast and some rustic malt notes. This beer is really dry with loads of attenuation. Body is full with limited filtration and good carbonation. A really interesting experience but cucumber notes are a bit too strong to withstand large quantities of this beer – this is a beer I would share gain with multiple friends.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy gold body under a small fizzy white head that faded to a thin wispy film. The nose is pretty great and certainly unique. There’s a really nice fresh cucumber note to this over the light yeastiness, wheat, and pale malt. The flavor had a crazy amount of cucumber flavor to it, much more than I expected. It works really well with the soft maltiness and the light but somewhat vibrant hoppiness. Lingering cucumber finish. Light bodied and rather crisp with soft fizzy carbonation. Really nice beer.

If you are a big cucumber fan, this is your beer. The crisp and refreshing cucumber flavor is the first thing notice after the sharp crispness of the mouthfeel. Little aroma and a refreshing taste, good example of what a cucumber beer should taste like. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours clear golden yellow, white head. Cooked cucumber aromas, dusty lemon, yeasty. Taste has lots more cucumber, and a woody note at the end. Nice though.

Big sweated cucumber, almost gherkinny with little room for me to enjoy anything else. Initial taste is dusty, neat light crisp yeast. Soft sweet and the cucumber sweeps things away when the bitterness evens out. Decent enough pillowy carbonation. Finishes light peppery but big big cucumber again. Cucumber is my Nemesis.

Bomber thanks to Eric! Hazy yellow golden pour with a white head. Full wheat and yeast with a smooth lighter palate, and lots of cucumber! Very interesting and unique. Had this on a pontoon - perfect.
