COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The humble gherkin. Usually we encounter this unassuming green fruit pickled or sliced and flung atop a salad. But the cucumber has so much more to offer us. It is a remarkably refreshing gourd with the power to cool a dry tongue and when just two sliced wheels are placed atop the eyes of a lounging lass in a stock photo ad for a spa the mythical cucumber has the magical ability to justify obscene spa service fees. Truly an amazing botanical gift to the world. We chose to employ the cucumber in a low gravity Saison to create a refreshing seasonal ale redolent with notes of honey, tropical fruit, lemon bitterness, and of course cucumbers. Brewed as a survival tool for the Florida Summer this cucumber creation features Citra and Sorachi Ace hops. So put some cucumber wheels on your eyes, lean back, relax and enjoy. Ahhhhhhh.

Bottle pour from Armin, thanks! Exactly as advertised, cucumber through and through. Pour is a hazy gold, with a white head that lasts. Aroma is cucumber peel, mint, dill. Taste is pretty much the same. Really odd, but in a good way. Dry. Effervescent. Tasty. Thanks Armin

Bottle. The pour is a light hazy yellow. The aroma smells like dirt. The taste is just like cucumber. Taste better than it smells. Original, but not something I would drink regularly. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gold, hazy, persistent white head. Aroma: initial strong, fresh cucumber followed by spicy saison yeast character. Flavor: up-front cucumber, some peppery spice and grainy malt, cucumber overshadows the other elements a little, but works well in this beer.

THX! To Sebletitje for this one. 75 cl. bottle split – presumably bottle on 08/2012. Only my second cucumber beer – bright golden with a big fuzzy white head. Nose is – wow – undeniably chockfull of cucumbers, there is no guessing or maybe involved here, this is cucumber all the way, lot of cucumber peel with a hint of old cucumbers and lots of cucumber juiciness and flesh, light touch of yeast, fluffy, effervescent, sweet yeast buried underneath the cucumbers,… Taste is huge, very juicy cucumbers, lots of their peel as well, some of that bitterness from cucumber peel, combined with very airy, bubbly body with thing delicate yeast, lightly sweet, flower sweet yeast, Champagne-like in feel which works perfectly here, only light hops underneath, light hint of bitterness cucumber and hops in the back, some inclination of sweetness,… Light, fluffy, light sweet grains, works perfectly, cucumber Champagne, cork dry – sounds like a gimmick but this is as refreshing and satisfying as eating a cucumber salad in the middle of a desert,… Man if it was summer outside – they need to make a radish version as well, also leeks, watermelon etc. would be lovely. Wow.

75cl bottle, courtesy of ibrew2or3, cheers Dave. Split two ways with 77ships. Bottled date seems to indicate August 2012.

Bottle thanks to Randall! Pours a hazy pale gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice light cucumber note with some light hops, a touch of sweetness and a bit of yeast. Flavor has a much stronger cucumber note with a bit of a odd pine note and some light funk.

Pours a mostly clear pale yellow with a thick foamy white head. Aroma is all cucumber and kiwi. Flavor is all cucumber...vegetal and watery(flavor). Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is cucmber and mild tropical fruit.

Bottle shared by DalzAle, thanks Greg. Pours orange with a little white soapy head. Aroma is candied cucumbers slight funk and little spice scent. Taste has more candied cucumber, but not as strong as the scent as well some tartness and a gentle spice in the finish. Palate is medium fizzy and drying. Nice Saison!

Bottle courtesy of AirForceHops. Fresh floral cucumber and light briny aroma. Hazy golden with a large off-white head. Fresh green cucumber and Belgian yeast flavor. Light body, lively carbonation. I love cucumber and this one was right up my alley.
