COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We salute Don Gavino with this tart guava ale, aged in chardonnay barrels to create a balance between the sweetness of the base beer and fruit with the tartness of the lactic fermentation.

>> Thanks Jake for the share. Full haze orange pour with larger white foam. Nose is guava paste, saltwater. Taste is sugar up front, sour yuzu, salty, high carbonation. Not bad. More in the saison area vs. sour/wild but okay.

Bottle through recent trade. Pour has a bright amber color and a thick one finger white head that fell back to a coating on the surface. Aroma has tart guava, sweet malt, chardonnay barrels, and some fruit skins. Mouth feel is light and the carbonation on the low side. Flavor has a nice light twang, guava, and chardonnay barrels. The batch of funky guava grove was better for me.

Good wine-style bottle and label. Hazy, apricot bronze-gold. Thin filmy head. Tangy-sweet, lightly chemical, fruity aroma. Butter and jam , exotic, fruity-chemical, spicy flavor. Funky. Thanks to the masked Ratebeerian at Proof for sharing.

Aroma has urinal cake, apricot and some citrus. Feels a bit tart. Flavour has urinal cake, some citrus, apricot and funky yeasty tones. Too much urinal tones here, but not bad anyway.
