Sample @ Cbc. Vinous, woody, notes of elderberriers, dry finish. Somewhat reminds me of riesling!

Fad: Gulorange diset øl med fint skumhoved. Meget parfumeret duft, men jeg kan lide det. Gør øllen feminin. Smagen er syrlig men stadig parfumeret, tydelig ceder træ. Dejlig øl.

(trade w/changeup45) - Big frothy white head. Body is golden orange and very clear. No doubting what kind of wood this stuff aged in as you’re inundated with the aroma of wet cedar wood at first whiff. Pretty overwhelming if you’ve never had it before. Sort of like black pepper corns and coriander seeds. Transfers over into the flavor as well. Any hop character is pretty much masked by the harshness of the wood. There’s almost a perfumy flavor to it. Certainly worth trying, but I find it hard to believe anyone can drink this stuff on a daily basis unless they’re part woodchuck! Might’ve been better had they steamed the Spirals to take a little bit of the edge off.

Sampled from 750ml bottle. Poured a golden orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is orange-lemon citrus, with notes of woody lemon. What is this sorcery? This was pretty darn tasty. Sour notes, cedar, with tropical fruits, and white pepper.

750ml bottle shared by Dallas, thanks again
Appearance: Cloudy golden with a medium white head and some lacing
Aroma: Cedar
Taste: Cedar, spicey, lemon and herbal
Decent, the cedar was really strong, maybe some aging would mellow it out.

Bottle thanks to Dallas who has somehow hooked up 3 of the 4 versions of this!! Pours a clear yellow color with a medium white head. A big spicy dry cedar nose. The flavor is dominated almost totally by cedar, spicy, dry, a bit harsh somehow, perfume, the cedar at times tastes bitter and harsh. Not my thing, it was good but didn’t work as well as it could have, and I love the CC cedar beers.

750 ml bottle shared with the Utah crew. I get a lot of citrus in the nose. The flavor was terrible, super bitter, spicy, out of balance, sweet, and fruity.

Bottle with James, Andrew, and Maggi. Pours a hazy amber with little to no head. Amazing nose. Cigar smells with fresh lemons and other citrus fruits. Flavor is peppery with deep wood flavors mixing with some light citrus. Amazing.

750ml bottle acquired from ccb... Pours a semi-hazy orange brown hue and topped with a thin soapy white head... Cedar wood and earthy tea with the former being most prominent... Flavors are more of the same with a boozy cedar presence.. Some spice and yeast and mostly boozy notes. Body at large isn’t too divisive but maintainable. Woody cedar aspects remain prominent. Ok.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Bottle. Hazy deep yellow pour with a white head. Nose is like a cedary saison. Extreme cedar on taste - dry on the tongue. Interesting.
