Bottle. Pours a clear golden yellow color with minimal head. Tons of cedar on the nose. Flavor is simply awesome. Boozy without being overwhelming considering the 9%. Excellent collaboration.

On draft when released, poured a light hazy peach color, aromas of cedar, potpourri, ginger, and citrus. Flavor is much the same, with some spice. Interesting beer, least favorite of the four.

there is an exuberant amount of herbs and spices that I cant ever begin to describe.still the flavor is amazing with a very strong maltiness. while there is a lot of spice the hops are not very strong, still its quite a feat.

The aroma is very complex and spicy with cedar, citrus fruit, ginger, and malt. The appearance is hazy gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall another interesting beer that I like but not one I want regularly.

On vacation! Drank this one on the beach! Woop woop. Poured a golden color. Smells a bit citrusy with some orange and grapefruit aromas. Taste is similar. Pretty funky aftertaste. I am guessing that is the cedar. Took me a few swallows to get used to it. Different tasting. Not bad, just different.

From the 750 ml bottle. Light amber pour with a thin white head. Grapefruit hops barely cuts through the huge cedar wood nose. Clean malt with a big grapefruit hop bite and cedar woodiness. The best of the series.

Appearance: orange and peach with a light haze – like a mist covering an orchard of oranges and peaches. White bubbly haze fades into a collar, mostly full. Swirls smooth and creamy. Enticing.
Nose: orange peel, ginger, cumin. Leather and funk in the background. Pithy dried tangerine skins. Aloe and cactus. Candied caramelized ginger slivers with a hint of honey. Paprika. Raw cedar chips permeate and infuse and meld and harmonize. Orange candies and orange cedar. Cedar boxes.
Palate: cedar dryness in finish – long and parching and lingering atop the tongue. Orange skins. Ginger in the breath. Dry spiced tropical quality – skins of tropical fruits – cactus, aloe, and guava. Yeasty spicy cedary deliciousness. Cedar is yummy – if chewing on cedar chips could be delicious, this beer proves it. Ginger, paprika, and cumin are one with the cedar. More orange peel – tangerine and mandarin.
Final Thoughts: delicious! Another winner from Cigar City with some help from The Bruery out of Placentia, CA. I really like what Cigar City is doing with cedar. As an on-again, off-again cigar smoker, my affinity for cigars and cedar and old leather and oiled mahogany. Yum! I wouldn’t mind seeing this in my fridge and thus my glass, again.
