750 ml bottle acquired from fishingnet. Thanks, Ben. Finally finishing up this series after this one has lingered in the fridge for a long time. Pours a deep orange pour, a kiss of haze, deep pretty glow through the body and edges. A frothy whitish head dies to a small ring and laces small. Aromas are bigger citrus rind, orange and grapefruit, bread dough, wood and cedar with a kiss of spice. Coriander strikes the nose firmly, bready malts, straw, big citrus rind and coriander feel as it settles. Itís not too sweet, the cedar seems a bit faded which from what I can tell is a good thing from early reviews. Initial is medium bodied, a bit lighter with citrus rind, grapefruit and orange oils. Gentle sweetness, dry spice. Cool coriander and cedar come into the middle, a touch tannic as we move into the backend. Lots of citrus rind, much less sweet as a beer than the other versions as I recall. A more dry backend and finish, more cedar, wet wood, and tannic presence back here. The citrus rind really jumps up front, grapefruit and orange, at times. Pleasant. A touch sweet into the middle with firm spice, coriander and yeast that quickly turns into the dry and cedar finish, tannic, but not overrun with the wood as earlier reviews mentioned. I kept this beer for a good long while out of fear of this particular one. The finish is a bit spicy and cedar ridden, but overall, itís a pretty solid offering. If you havenít revisited this in awhile, give it a go. Overall, this grabbed the highest rating from me for all 3 bottled wood versions.. Iím pretty surprised at that. But it truly was the best.. Albeit all bottles tried several months apart from each other.

Backlogged rating (Joe Peesie Beer Porn gathering), thanks Zach: Golden hued with a good lasting head. The aroma has notes of oak, lemongrass, mango, white pepper, ginger, resiny hops and bready malts. The taste has a lovely balance of spice, booze, fruit and bitterness. I like the touch of cedar tannins and overall spicy notes. The mouth feel is lively yet smooth, a tad sticky. Overall a successful brew that i would gladly try again.

Bottle at a Ratebeer "sticky floor" tasting, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy orange with a round white head and broken lace. The aroma is of grapefruit. The flavour is bitter pepper and spicy. A tasty and flavourful beer. Not sure I could drink a whole bottle though.

Hazy orange, off white lace. Bit too much spicy, but also a decent sweaty, fermented fruit and sweaty. Sweet and sharp notes, herbal bitterness. Itís okay. (At Deansoís tasting)

750ml bottle. Bottle is a gusher. Pours a murky orange color with a large white head that has fair retention. The aroma is spicy with cardamon, coriander and some yeast. The flavor is rather weird with what I presume to be cedar taking the forefront, also present are spices, sour fruits (papaya, persimmon) and something medicinal. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Finishes medium in duration, dry and with bitter oranges lingering. Overall: This has a unique sourness, sort of a cross between RR Temptation and Orval, but not as good as either. Iím wondering if this might be infected.
