Bottle from brewery. Coppery gold. Effervescent, and the thick head fades to a comforting cap. The cedar chips totally overwhelm the beer, especially the aromas. Has an almost artificial aroma because of it. Hidden beneath the cedar is citrus peel and its sour-bitter profile. The body is medium, but the alcohol is apparent. The orange, Grand Marnier, and orange peel are predominant in the aroma, accented by the cedar. The cedar imparts the illusion of a tannic finish. It doesn't really come together, but there isn't anything offensive about it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour is clear orange with off white ring. Nose is heavy citrus and grapefruit with a faint note of cedar and barely any Saison. Taste has more farmhouse to it with a strong grapefruit and citrus backbone. Fairly sour dry finish on a fuller syrupy body.

Hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Not the gusher that the previous one was. Funky yeast and lemon aroma. The flavor starts with a tart bite then mellows out as the sweet fruitiness comes on. The finish is dry and fruity.

THX! To Sebletitje. 75 cl. bottle sampled. Aged on Spanish cedar wood (apparently they stuff they use for cigar boxes to age the stuff – fitting) saison with coriander and ginger. Pours bright orange with a touch amber, oakish, white head. Nose is very unique, I suppose that this is Spanish cedar, its huge, sweet fruity wood, soft, juicy wood, fruity, berries, light sour tang pure wood, ginger, tad sharp,… wow this is new. Picking up lots of ginger in the taste, I assume what is the cedar, stringy, juicy wood, very sharp, hard to describe, sour fruits & more-so sour berries, wild berries, orange peel, fresh grapefruit juice, hint of pear, sour pine, peel,… This is a bit much to take in, I am not even too certain whether I like it or not, bit hard to tell, it is more interesting. Clean, sharp body. Interesting stuff.
