750 ml bottle shared by rebelmusic- thanks, Chris! He said he’d opened the Cedar one recently and didn’t like it as much. This one pours a cloudy gold with a big off-white head. Aroma of wheat, coriander, grapefruit, soap, herbs, straw, and bready funk. Flavor of fruity nectar, straw, caramel malts, coriander, apricot, wood, and very mild grapefruit. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, fruity mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Unusual saison. I liked it.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours an unclear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with tropical fruit and citrus. The flavor follows the nose with additional notes of grapefruit. The palate is sweetness and bitterness. Overall a good beer.

(750ml bottle thanks to Dixonian) clear medium gold, ring of fine tan bubbles, nose is sweet, peppery, saison yeast, graham cracker, rich. Taste of orange, sweet, light wood, spicy yeast well carbonated.

750ml from Leuken’s Liquors online. Once more unto the breach. Again, a pretty decent strong brew that doesn’t quite have the saison characteristics I crave. Darkish body, fluffy head, and prickly carbonation. Lots of semi-sharp wood, with a less pronounced citric quality than expected, though that may be because it’s a comparably bigger beer. Decent.

Draft at Churchkey for the Bluejacket/Funky Buddha/Cigar City event during SAVOR week. Poured a relatively clear orange color, off-white head. Aroma of orange peel, with a touch of what I guess is wood - but not really as remarkable as say, oak or cedar or some other type of wood.

Pours a hazy peach with never ending white head. Aroma is a lot of citrus zest with some funk and ginger. Taste is bitter citrus zest and funk. Very dry finish. Very good.

On tap at Churckey for the Funky Buddha and CCB event. Hazy orange with a massive white head. Ginger and lemon are very pronounced. Excellent herbal dough character. Oaken tannic notes and vanilla char finish with big citrus peel.

Tap at CK. Flat clear orange. Nose is heavy butterscotch to the maxxx. Taste is sticky, heavy, butterscotch. Tangy finish. No grapefruit. No wood. No IPA. No saison character. What is this? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
