Thanks to Dixonian for sharing this bottle. The beer pours a light orange-yellow color with a white head. The aroma is heavy on the tropical fruit, with a lot of grapefruit and a hint of orange. There is also some biscuit malt in the aroma. The flavor has some strong grapefruit notes, with some orange citrus, Belgian yeast, white pepper and biscuit malt thrown in. The alcohol is well hidden. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

750ml from Leuken’s Liquors online. Once more unto the breach. Again, a pretty decent strong brew that doesn’t quite have the saison characteristics I crave. Darkish body, fluffy head, and prickly carbonation. Lots of semi-sharp wood, with a less pronounced citric quality than expected, though that may be because it’s a comparably bigger beer. Decent.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours an unclear and golden beer with a white head. The aroma is malt, caramel and hops with tropical fruit and citrus. The flavor follows the nose with additional notes of grapefruit. The palate is sweetness and bitterness. Overall a good beer.

On tap at Cigar City. Pours a hazy yellow with a small white head. Nose is a tremendous amount of grapefruit, and white grapefruit at that. I get some light tropical fruit, some citrus pith, and some more dry grapefruit. Flavor is similar with huge white and red grapefruit pieces with a strange woody quality about the flavor. This one has the citrus notes of an IPA with the smooth body of a saison. Medium in body and has much in common with a citrus orchard.

Explosive carbonation upon opening. Got beer all over my buddy’s counter. Cloudy murky red orange with a profuse head. Very dry and peppery nose, lightly musty and bretty with some citrusy notes. Dry and citrusy flavor, very effervescent and dry with lightly woody notes. Grassy and prickly. Enjoyed this one as well. Alcohol gets a tad warm.

One of three samples; lemon, grapefruit and cedar. Wew, aroma is unique to saythe least. Cloudy pale yellow with some brown in there. Mild co2. Sweet like many barley wines but as much alky. Some plstic in the flavor and a little now comes thru in the aroma. Probably my least favorite out of the three sampled.

Bomber @ CCB Day. Pours cloudy golden amber with a small off white head. Aroma is fruity sweetish funky stable a bit sour grassy. Flavor is fresh fruity yeasty spicy malty citric bitter, not bad at all but maybe too much alcohol. Finishes bitter fruity.
