Bottle, at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body under a minimal-sized off-white head. The aroma is citrusy with hints of fresh cut wood. Sweetish too. Except for the wood, a quite boring aroma. The flavor is spiced and citrusy, with sugary sweetness tending towards canned fruit syrup, bitterness showing up towards the end. Warming, full-bodied and creamy in the mouth. Although a bit warming and dull, it’s certainly a nice beer. 120511

Bottle at home. Huge gusher! Even after after it had been stood still and chilled for ages. Hazed orange colour with a fine lasting white head. Aroma is effervescent orange blossom, and some Brett c pineapple and nice saison yeast character. Flavour is very sweet orange marmalade, carbonation, yeast. Too sweet for a saison. Palate is fine and effervescent.

Gusher. Lost half the 750ml upon opening. What remained was tasty. Astringent lemony scent. Color is a barely hazy yellow with big white head. Earthy and light citrusy flavor. As above, very, very bubbly. Hot on the tongue. Bottle - The Porter Beer Bar - Atlanta, Georgia

Hazy orange color out of the bottle. The bottle was a gusher but there was no real head in the glass. Lively on the tongue. Nose of spice and orange. Flavors of wood, orange juice, red grapefruit and some lemon rind. Sweet tart beer with some funk in the background.

The second bretted saison of the day that came off tasting like heavy wintergreen to me. Like someone left gum in a glass of dupont and left it out on the counter for 6 hours. Slighty sour in a spoiled lactic sort of way.

Very minty, this is odd, weird and lame, it’s ok but not a fan, way too minty

Brown, huge but very fizzy head. Smells bready, toasty, and lots of caramel. Very heavy palate. Some citrus flavors, but not much - mostly heavy caramel flavors. Thanks to Secret Santa for this!

As others have noted: GUSHER warning - better open this one outside (I was lucky enough to have done so). Aroma: bit citrus, lots of grapefruit, spicy farmhouse yeast notes, some light malts and hay, pepper. Appearance: light golden, hazy, big fizzy white head decent retention. Taste: nice citrus fruit profile, of course lots of grapefruit, some lemon, dough, pepper, light malts. Palate: medium body, high carbonation, prickly on the palate, semi-dry finish. Overall: nice brew, this was fruity and complex, definitely worth trying.

BOTTLE BOMB! 95% of the bottle exploded all over the kitchen almost instantly. Took me hours to wash away the shit, thank you very much Cigar City! The few drops left in the bottle tasted like shit…
