3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Backlogged rating, shared with homebrewer friends at Big Brew Day: Pours a clean deep golden hue, lively frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of lemon grass, pils malts, white pepper, slight lactic sourness, tannic wood, and some grassy hops. The taste is sprite and tart fruit over layers of base pale malts and a hint of developing funkiness. Nice dry tannic wood and sublime spicy notes. The booze cleansed the palate which removed some honey like sweetness. The mouth feel is aggressive and biting, moderately dry. I like this quite a bit and a like surprises.

Tasted on tap @Pivni, on 01/11/2012.
Pours of amazing peachy/orange colour, with a proper, snowy head.
Aroma beats you from the first smell! Fruits, tons of fruits, and not usual mango/citrus/etc, but rather the most exotic tropical fruits one can imagine.
Taste is just... wow. Soo sexy, I gonna buy a keg of this.
Aftertaste is amazingly tart anf long-lasting.
Not much to add, just an ideal beer, to my personal taste.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750mL bottle, and a mighty explosive gusher! Poured cloudy medium orange with a sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet fruity notes, bread, and honey with black pepper, lemon zest, and coriander around.. warm and sweet overall. The flavor found sticky and at times syrupy fruits and bready malt at the core, with warm black pepper, cloves, coriander, and sour woody notes around.. dry and a touch metallic on the finish despite the large dose of sugars.. finished dry, tangy, and belly-warming. Heavier-bodied and a bit too sharp with wood and spice on the palate.. heavier-handed than I wanted as well.

I love the Ceder woodwork and Cigar city are the ceder masters. The cocktail with one of the best breweries using spices and farm kind of yeasts... Here it is, the perfect Beer.

Bottle at Stockholm Beer and Whiskey Festival 2012. Hazy light amber liquid with medium white head. Aroma of lemons, grapefruit, tropical fruit, wood, bubble gum, some white pepper. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of grapefruit and bubble gum. Light bodied with low carbonation. Awesome.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. An unclear one, golden-orange in color and topped by a minimal-sized off-white head. The aroma is a bit neutral I think, citrusy mostly, with some recently cut wood and sweetish hints. The flavor is sweet and lightly lemony. Well, maybe not really sweet, but for a saison, there’s too much sweetness, or at least too much sweetness flavor. Quite warming on the palate, full-bodied and smooth. Like the grapefruit wood edition, it’s a bit dull and too warming, but it’s still a fine brew. 120511
