Hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Not the gusher that the previous one was. Funky yeast and lemon aroma. The flavor starts with a tart bite then mellows out as the sweet fruitiness comes on. The finish is dry and fruity.

THX! To Sebletitje. 75 cl. bottle sampled. Aged on Spanish cedar wood (apparently they stuff they use for cigar boxes to age the stuff – fitting) saison with coriander and ginger. Pours bright orange with a touch amber, oakish, white head. Nose is very unique, I suppose that this is Spanish cedar, its huge, sweet fruity wood, soft, juicy wood, fruity, berries, light sour tang pure wood, ginger, tad sharp,… wow this is new. Picking up lots of ginger in the taste, I assume what is the cedar, stringy, juicy wood, very sharp, hard to describe, sour fruits & more-so sour berries, wild berries, orange peel, fresh grapefruit juice, hint of pear, sour pine, peel,… This is a bit much to take in, I am not even too certain whether I like it or not, bit hard to tell, it is more interesting. Clean, sharp body. Interesting stuff.

Bottle. Golden with white head. Massive peppery woody aroma, some citrus fruit and a little pissiness. Taste is very woody, peppery and a little citrus, grapefruit in the finish. Slightly sweet and sticky again. Nice

75cl bottle. Thanks Sean (Melody Brewing) for hauling this one back from Philly.

Hazy golden with a tiny white head. Spicy and fruity tones. Peppers, fruit and bitterness. Medium to full body with a long bitter finish.

God men kanske lite jobbig i längden. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750mL bottle. Poured medium golden with a short, well-retained, whitish head. The aroma picked up lots of floral and peppery cedar notes over mixed lighter-skinned fruits and bready malt.. fruit skins and floral notes on the strong back of the nose. The flavor found warm bread and fruity notes at the core, with tangy fruit skins and bitter floral notes around.. peppery and yeasty on the long finish.. good stuff in there, but it needed some subtlety. Medium-plus bodied with moderate carbonation on the palate.. just too big for my liking.

Hazy off orange pour whispy white head. Peppery earthy bready lemon zest and alcohol on the aroma I’m thinking saison. Nice palate lightly creamy well coated. Odd flavor clearly Belgian yeasts then some dry lemon zests a hint of soapyness some hops that don’t balance the beer well. Not very good.

750 ml bottle served in a CCB snifter. A: Looks like urine. Thin white head, clear gold body. S: That is some potent cedar. Smells like the inside of a cigar box with a spicy lemon grass and some underlying peppery yeasty. Like with all the cedar aged CCB beers the cedar aging creates a huge imbalance. T: Luckily the cedar is a little more subdued than the nose, but it is still too much apart of the beer. There is a light hop presence with some stone fruit and some back end yeasty notes of pepper and light must. 9% is well hidden M: Light bodied, medium carbonation. Cedar spice in the aftertaste detracts from some of the drinkability. O: As with all the cedar aged CCB beers the cedar is just too much and basically decimates the base beer. A little less cedar aging and the cedar might complimentary as opposed to the leading flavor. Serving type: bottle
