3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap at Hunahpu 2011. The pour is not looking so hot either because the bar tender was mad at me for ordering three different beers listed on the tap list and each had respectively "just run out" and not removed from a chalk board that was at arm’s reach, or maybe because it was served in a plastic cup. Much weaker looking than the normal Patio Tools, which I’m assuming is the base beer. A clear cola brown beer sits with little wimpy bubbles. Aroma is quite nice- I’m a big sucker for the East India treatment. Loads of Chai spices, milky Chai tea, cinnamon, nutmeg, mace. Taste is lemon tea, tea leave tannic, the milky chai tea explodes at the beginning but really has no body to carry it along. A watery and lemon body is forefront reminding you this is session Irish stout and not a full stout. Easy to chug and enjoyed by everyone. Still missing the richness of the normal Patio Tools.
