The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Hazy pale yellow color. Light, refreshing, yeast spiciness, and citrus and spice notes. Great summertime beer. Perfect on a hot day. A good version of the style.

pours a hazy, golden with minimal head, smell of banana and citrus. The aroma of the saison yeast definitley shines through. Bitter and spicy on the palate but the finish is clean and somewhat abrupt. Overall this is a great refreshing beer for a hot summer day.

12 oz can pours a cloudy yellow color with a nice white head. Aromas of citrus, coriander, and Belgian yeast. Light bodied but complex, very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

French Saison yeast?! That must be why this stuff is so good - it’s probably the best Witbier I’ve ever had. Incredibly refreshing with just the right amounts of spice and citrus.

Can@bolton brewery. Courtesy Bolton. Haze. Yellow. Coriander nutmeg. Light but medium wheat malty body. Great but a little more easy on the spicyness.

Can at a bottle share. Pours a cloudy light yellow color. Nose has that characteristic smell of the Belgian yeast strains, with some slight citrus and slight coriander. Taste is slightly sweet, but seems very average. Meh.

Aroma of cereal grain, coriander, banana, a hint of sage. Appears hazy bright yellow, ring of foam, minimum lace. Taste is very light of sweet cereal grain. Palate is very active, a stingy CO2 presence. Overall, good.

Tap. Murky straw. Sort of lemony nose. Crisp but full. Corn, lemon, present yeast. Better as it warms. Okay.

Serving: can from MacDowell Brew Kitchen. Pale yellow pour with a slight white head. The nose has a bit of bread dough, yeast, orange, and lemon. Smooth on the tongue. Nice mix of wheat, yeast, and citrus. Nice clean finish. Very solid for the style.

Location: 12 oz cans from a grocery store, this one is from 8/11/14

Aroma: It is heavy spice/wheat, lots of banana, some orange peel, and a good amount more spice
Appearance: It pours a slightly cloudy golden color with a small white head and streaky lace
Flavor: The flavor is a little sweet and a little wheaty, with some clean, balancing bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a fizzy feel, and a clean, dry finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: I liked this beer. It may not be amazing, but it is a better than average example of the style. This is a nice canned offering.
