The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Can. Pours a foggy yellow color with a fizzy, white head. Thick, malt aroma with some banana and some spice. Nice flavor. Wheaty. Hint of nuts with a nice sense of banana. For coming out of a can, it’s a really nice beer. Cigar City is good.

Got that wit look down - a bit hazy, very pale yellow, big pure white head. Meh on the aroma though, kind of bland wheatiness with a little bit of spice and some yeast. Pleasant flavors at least, tangy and citrusy. Finishes dry with a lingering lemon aftertaste.

Poured from a chilled can. Cloudy yellow color, white frothy head. Strong sweet wheat smell. Good taste.

Appearance: hazy yellow, medium white head that is pretty dense Aroma: strong bread, lemon, perhaps some wildness, dough Taste: some doughy bread, hint of wildness, lemon, coriander Palate: average c02, heavy mouthfeel, leaves a lemon aftertaste Overall: this stuff is great, not an in your face saison tho, the wildness is a lot more subtle, great mouthfeel ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The yeast dominate the flavor of this beer. Not enjoyable to me. Very much belgian in all ways. Malt and hop are not dominate parts of this beer. I had high expectations based on marketing. Fail.

A really nice wit! Big bark in the aroma, some oranges, lemons, coriander, spices. Cloudy orange looking with a firm head. Full bodied considering the style, excellent on a hot day.

Clear pale straw with a fast disappearing head, occasional tiny dots of lace. Taste is wheat, with an infusion of coriander and citrus that works well, but isn’t Hoegaarden (the gold standard in my opinion). Quite drinkable, a little strong on the sweet side, but would work well in sessions.

12oz can. Pours a pale gold. No head. Aroma is lemony and spicy, but dull, almost blunted. Flovors also seem blunted and stale. Certainly not a top notch wit.

Can. Poured a slightly hazed pale with a quick thin white head. Aroma of wheat, lemon, and light spice. The flavor found wheat and lemon. Light body, refreshing, and a lemon aftertaste.
