COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Cloudy yellow. Coriander and orange flavor. Peppery and crisp. A decent quality Belgian white. Cigar City is pretty good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Canned beer, 5.5 % abv, from Vinmonopolet Vika. Noisy, fast dissipating, white head. No lacing. Foggy straw coloured body. Spiced fruity nose. Taste of lemony hops mixed with yeasty fruitiness and a coriander touch. Short bittersweet end. Soft to lively carbonated. Okay partner to the salmon pie, rather disappointing though (Tromsø 25.04.2015).

canned March 08th of 2015 - thanks one of the cousins from the barrio for this one. Nose is wheat, peeper and orange peel. Spicy in the mouth. a little sweet but not too much for the style. Decent mouthfeel but the sweetness is unchecked.

Cans enjoyed down in Florida going to meet my baby niece. Cloudy yellow pour. Aroma has coriander, wheat, and orange peel. Flavor is delicate but surprisingly full of agave, coriander, perfume, cream, orange peel. Crisp, mildly frothy, slightly spicy, dry, delicious. Really really enjoyed this as an everyday sipper!

Being a cracker from the North, can help me appreciate this cracker from the South. Not bad. Not too shabby. But when it comes to the true American Cracker (like Ritz) you cannot pass up that rascally cracker from Milwaukee......Blatz beer.....that shit sticks to your ribs like a mouthful of "Chicken in the Biscuit" crackers. So that’s what I got.

Enjoyed a bottle outside with my fish tacos at the Boca Raton Resort, FL. Belgian spices, orange and yeast add nicely to this Wit.

Interesting with the mix of spices and flavors going on. Admittedly this isn’t my favorite style, but it’s a very unique spin on it. Can defo taste the orange peel and coriander and the finish is really dry and grassy. Was my first beer from Cigar City and I like that they’re doing something different.

Old rating. Hazy dark gold. Orange peel, coriander, strong wheat basis. Lightly spiced with big citrus. Tasty and super sessionable.

Citrus, chlorine and yeast on the nose. The taste is light citrus. Slightly bitter which fills the upper part of the mouth a weak moment. Okay beer and easy to drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings.

Bottom of the can stamped 10/15/14. This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a hazy burnt yellow color glossing underneath a one finger white foamy head that quickly dissipated leaving some light clingy lacing sliding quickly into the beer. The smell had a sweet citrus, sweet cracker, light tangerine and a little bit of yeasty goodness all combining nicely. The taste took all of those previously mentioned flavors to blend nicely. A light sweet citrus/yeasty aftertaste bleeds into the finish somewhat dry. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation was a little more subdued than most witbiers but I’m thinking that’s probably the age of it that may have caused that. Overall, I say this was a pretty good witbier that I would love to try again and preferably fresh.

Pours like it should in the glass: a cloudy canola yellow with a thin slice of white foam. Nice in the nose but nicer on the tongue. Orange peels, sharp wheat & coriander spice dominate. What i like most is it avoids the mis-guided North American trend to turn the style into a spice bomb. Reminds me most of blanche de chambly from Quebec. Goes down so well in the Florida sunshine & makes me forget that I’ve only slept 9 hours in two days. Recommended.
