COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Sample at Taps. Light, hazy yellow pour, with a big, off-white, pillowy head. The nose is straw, lemon juice, and cloves. Citrusy sweetness, with only a touch of bitterness. Light body, smooth, and a little acidic. This is a pretty nice, easy witbier.

Draft/Fest. A- Spices, wheat, oranges. A- Golden color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, coriander, spices, cloves, bitter orange peel, citrus. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Not as good as I wanted it to be but I used to love this style and this was a major want. Now that I had it it didn’t quite hit the spot but it was certainly a solid beer.

Canned 7/14/2015 enjoyed 8/3/2015 in a Mad Tree tulip/snifter. Look - One finger thick bubbled white head. Pale yellow body. Not see through. Head and lacing dissipate. Smell - Sourish. Bread. Salt. Belgian yeast and wheat, not too much else to say. Taste - Very, very mild sour fruit. Strong salt/pepper and bread. Orange. Lemon. Feel - There is a carbonation bomb. Tongue tingle. Overall - I like this beer. Wheat/Belgians brought me in to the craft beer game. I don’t prefer them now for the feel but this is not bad.

Can.
