COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Cracker Cowboys of Florida were colonial-era settlers, often of Scots-Irish descent, who arrived in Florida when Spain traded their territory of La Florida to the English. The term Cracker in Florida usage relates to the whip these "cow hunters" used to herd cattle in Florida’s Palmetto Prairies. Called Quáqueros by the Spanish, these hardy and hard working Cracker Cowboys helped to shape the history of Florida, the nation’s oldest cattle raising state. We brew Florida Cracker White ale with unmalted wheat, orange peel and coriander and then ferment it with a French Saison yeast strain to give it a spicy and dry finish. Perfect for a warm day on the Palmetto Prairie.

Not your average wheat beer but a refreshing beverage with that familiar CCB taste. Has a nice citrus quality.

On draft at Cigar City Tasting Room. I was expecting a run-of-the-mill white just to satisfy the people who are clamoring for lower-ABV beers. This is not a run-of-the-mill white. Pours a thick, mealy yellow with a white head. Without feeling the weight and seeing the head, I would think it was a yellow milkshake. Nose is a burst of citrus flavor, sugared lemons, and hints of spice. Flavor is similar with off-the-scale drinkability. When you look up lawnmower beer, this is the picture you should see. Impressive.

I'm not a big fan of many summer beers but this summer ale was fantastic has a nice citrus tone to it and a full body seldom found in the many summer style ales that I've tasted lately ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A really good witbier with nice spice notes, clean citrus flavors, and good crisp malty body. Fantastic beer, extremely drinkable and tasty to boot.

UPDATED: MAY 22, 2011 Pours a Beautiful milky white. Looks like fruit juice. "apricot juice" says Dave. Nose is huge citrus, orange juice, cored fruits. Flavor is yeast, grain, citrus bitter, sweet orange. Very dry. Very thirst quenching. ::: Hopped UpCracker ::: Cask @ CCB. Pours milky yellow no head. Nose is huge orange citrus, yeast, some floral hops. Flavor is bitter hops with bread, yeast and citrus. Wish this rating wasn’t combined. The Hopped Up Cask version was completely different across the board. Oh well ...

UPDATED: JAN 26, 2013 Canned from Secret Santa. Thanks! Pours a farily hazy, yellow appearance with a nice, big and fluffy, white head. Somewhat herbal spicy, big straw, a bit peppery, delicious wheat malty aroma. So far, so good. Lemongrass, light citrus peel, lemon, fairly peppery, grainy straw/wheat, easy drinking flavor. I wouldn’t mind chugging a dozen of these sitting outside of a spring training baseball game in South Florida. That being said, Sunshine Wheat isn’t all that different from this and yet is significantly different in the ratings based on this CCB label on this one.

Woo Hoo, rating #100 for this brew. Got the can from my beer buddy Eric and served in my Hoegaarden tumbler: Pours the expected hazy straw hue with a lasting fizzy head. The aroma has notes of white wheat, orange zest, coriander, wildflowers and pils malts. Very tradition smelling, I honestly am shocked for I thought CCB would twist it more but I am happy with this. The taste follows suit, zesty fruits over a layer of wheat husk and base pils malts with a finish of moderate spices. The mouth feel is sprite and uber refreshing, a perfect beer for a hot day but works even on a springlike day in January in Indiana.

6-pack. Pours a golden body with a rim of white froth. Biscuit, lemon, and bread on the nose. The flavors are light and airy with notes of lemongrass, citrus, dough, and sour yeast in the finish. Lively carbonation and light body. This is very refreshing, yet flavorful. Another great brew from a fantastic brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
