Lots of orange zest and mango along with a equally impacting malt and honey counterbalance. This one is actually a wee bit funky and woody too even though I do not believe it to been aged on cedar or oak. As it warms (bad idea) the orange becomes more like a candied peel versus the brighter zest. In the end this was simply okay, not bright nor crisp enough. Muddled and just weird.. sort of like the FLA MAN

With Z, pours a rusty orange pour with a beige head. Nose is citrus with hops and pine with resin. Taste is a power of strong bitterness, followed by some moderate sweetness. Finishes on the hard bitter hoppy notes. Not CCB best ! Quaff Score 6 / 10

Bomber. Pours a burnt orange with an off white head and aroma of hops, pine, and resin. Taste is bittersweet, with lots of hops, pine, resin, bread, and caramel leading to a very bitter, dry finish.

Bomber poured a clear orange amber with a small lingering amber head. Aromas of bread, grapefruit, orange zest, light peach and light melon. Palate was medium bodied and smooth with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, grapefruit, orange zest, light pine and a hint of peach with a smooth dry bitter lingering citrus finish.

Pour from a 22 ounce bottle. Not sure of the age but am fairly confident it’s three months or less. Deep hazy copper color without much clarity out of the bottle, but it did noticeably clear a bit as it warmed. It has a nice hop aroma but is somewhat muted. It’s bitter up front on the tongue and finishes with a lot of body and malt sweetness. A sipper.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is tropical fruit and pine. Medium mouth, bitter malt, grapefruit, pine, good.

Bottle, muled back by Grippitis, shared with Rosser and Parksy. Deep copper orange with a lasting off white head. Marmalade and light pine, sweet malts verging on sticky. Almost more of an imperial red ale, but I liked it.

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. Aroma of orange, pine and malt. Malty flavor with orange accents before a bitter, piney finish.

Smells like citrus with a sweet malt. Taste is dominated by sweet malts of caramel and toffee, the hops that are present (which isn’t much) give off mostly a resin/grain flavor, with a touch of citrus. It has a mouthfeel similar to a barleywine, with a little hops added in. Bit disappointed by this beer after having Jai Alai.

Bottle from the brewery. Pours a cloudy deep orangish brown with a moderate white head. Some mild lacing in the snifter at home. Fruity aroma with orange peel, mango, and peach. Large notes of grains and malt. Taste is solid with a healthy diet of fruit like on the nose and a malt backbone. Pretty hoppy bitter finish that lingers on the palette. Chewy. I really liked it. Medium body and texture is bold.
