Water, barley, hops, and yeast. About as simple as it gets for a DIPA. Good overall quality and taste....just doesn’t quite seem top notch like CCB did 4-5 years ago. Has that West Coast flavor and feel. Kind of pricey for a bomber, so not sure if I’d get again unless they canned or bottled this in 4-packs.

Pours a hazy copper/rust orange. A sweet floral hop and caramel malt aroma. A sweet floral hop and fruit taste with caramel, malts, and a dry yeast flavor. A bitter hop, sweet fruit malt and dry yeast/malt aftertaste.

Torpedo bottle. Good blend of malt and hop. Caramel notes with some floral citrus hop. Creamy texture. This is not that great. Maybe the bottle is old. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Bottling date 9th March. Received in a trade with HenrikO. Cheers Henrik! Hazy, dark orange. Film of sticky, just off white head. Leggy and slow moving. Nose is thick, rich, grainy malt. Really dank, chewy, resinous hop. Syrupy fruit. A bit barley wine-ish. Taste is thick sweet, turning big, resinous, oily bitter. Full body, broken up by bright carbonation. Finishes long, lasting for days, resinous bitter. Very tasty beer, verging on hopped up barley wine.

Bottle. Pours mostly clear amber. Aroma is grapefruit, mango, black pepper, and some toast. Flavor is malty and boozy up front followed by some spicy and fruity bitterness. Medium body.

650ml bottle from Total Wine in Jensen Beach. Shared with bananabi11 during the NCAA Championship game. Thick heavy bittersweet fruity, with a bit of a strange flavor (cigars? yeast?). Chewy resin. Decent but was expecting more, which is disappointing. 13.7

Amber orange color with white head. Medium body. Extremely malty, orange zest, pine, dank hop flavor. Very dry, not my favorite.

Bomber thanks to Homer. Poured a thick bodied, almost syrupy, burnt orange with a smaller to average frothy off white head. Aroma is sugary sweet like this one needs to dry out a bit more. Notes of rotting apricot and peach, tropical fruits, raw dough, green grapes and paste. Flavor is a touch better, notes of tropical fruit skins, green apple skin, paste, grapes and dough. Full body, syrupy, tight bubbly carbonation and just a touch of heat.

On tap @ Cigar City. Pours clear orange golden with thin white head. Aroma is heavy sweetish booze, hard to pick out much hops here. Taste is syrupy sweet dark caramel malt, dank and earthy bitter hops linger harshly through the finish. I didn’t much care for this one, though I suppose it matches its namesake well.

Bottle. Pours burnt orange with a slight haze and a white head that coats the roof. Medium carbonation over mild orange aroma. Orange line hop flavor with some complexity. Sticky viscosity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
