Another winner. Unexpected winner. Nose was sweet malts, earthy grain, sweet vanilla, mild roast. Flavor was a soft vanilla melded with the roasty grain and earthy hops. All of this was binded by subtle hints of wood and rich vanilla notes. Very drinkable. Very well done.

On tap at rattle n hum cigar city tasting. Terrific vanilla, and cocoa aroma. First taste is a heavy Madagascar vanilla but then a wordiness takes in. Also a lot of roast malt, chocolate and coffee. Really rally nice, I prefer this quite a bit to the original.

Sample split with Pat in NYC. Pour was a dark brown, small tan head. Aromas of cinnamon raisin, vanilla, oak. Taste was chocolaty, french vanilla, cashews, clove spice, ultra sweet malts. Silky mouth that went down like water.

Think this was on tap at RNH as "vanilla porter". Poured dark brown, malty with vanilla and caramel, some light bitterness, a bit of sweetness, pretty good.

Draft. Pours a bruin body with a tan head and great retention. Very faint vanilla and mineral notes, light chocolate and roasted malt body. Dry and bitter with a very faint vanilla. I like that the vanilla is not sweet and cloying like i expected. My notes here are rather lacking but this was very quaffable and i ended up having seconds. Very nice.

I didn’t take any notes on this because I assumed this was the Vanilla Aged Maduro. I’m still not convinced it’s any different. For the time being, I’ll give it the same rating I gave the Vanilla Aged but dock it a few points on the overall for a lack of originality. I love most of the Maduro Browns, but the vanilla treatment for me is in a class of its own.

interesting French style authentic vanilla flavor yet still beery with a hop profile and malt. a moderate body and balance of cocoa the brew is a little syrup like and somewhat flat in the carbonation. a bit of a toasted wheatiness that seems almost nutty.

Enjoyed on tap at Rattle N Hum. Vanilla in aroma. Dark coloured body with a faint head, and leaving a lace sheet. Hoppy, a bit sour in the finish not unusual in a brown. Vanilla gives it a bit of sweetness, but does not ad to drinkability.

Poured up on tap at Mark’s amazing Mr. Beery’s CCB Total Tap Takeover. It has a murky deep amber body with tan head. The aroma jumps up and down with rich vanilla followed by oaky spices and then raisins and nuttiness. The taste is smooth and starts with subtle sweet malts, sweet nuttiness and sweet vanilla and then picks up roasted malts, oak, spicy oak and then more vanilla. It stays vanilla like with nuttiness, sweet malts and slight oak heading into the finish along with a faint lingering raisin sensation.
