Delicious, delicious beer, but quite heavy. The rum sweetness both accentuates that primary characteristic of regular GG and also makes it hard to finish more than 8oz or so. But the flavors are just killer.

750ml bottle, thanks to jstax. Totally hazy amber red brown color. Thin off-white head, some bits of lace. Bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Great bigger pumpkin flavor, toasty malts. SPice is way more muted here than I remember it being in the base beer. I figured a BA version would be appropriate, seems like I was right. Even outside on a humid 85F day, I’m enjoying sipping at this. Very pleasant, big full maltiness. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Nice mild slickness. Light dry in hte finish. Just realized the bottle date reads 10/18/13/. Seems to do a lot to mellow out the spice. Drinking great. Moderate to bigger sweet taste, light bitterness, a pleasant bit of warmth. Fantastic, very enjoyable rum barrel aged imperial pumpkin ale. I probably had more than 2/3 of the bottle to myself.

750mL bottle from Catador Club, I believe, shared with cbfobes and some friends, June 2014. Deep brown pour with a nice tan head, good lacing. Good aroma, normal Good Gourd popping through with good squashiness, an almost buttery (in a good way) brown sugar aspect, mild spices meld well in the beer and with the lightly oaky and slightly sweet rum treatment. I loved the flavor on this bad boy... squashy, nicely sweet, the spices are fabulous and pitched with a light hand, melds well with light oak and sweet rum, positively delicious. Yum!

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 Sunday tasting at Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell. Pours rich amber with a frothy, off-white head. Rich pumpkin aroma with notes of ripe fruits and caramel. Heavy sweet flavor, sticky, with ripe fruits, pureed pumpkin, bread, alcohol, rum. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with sticky, ripe fruits, pumpkins, berries, caramel. Tasty stuff. Nice and hearty.
