COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Guava Grove Ale is a Belgian ale that sees a secondary fermentation with and extended aging on Guava puree. The complex flavors imparted by both the Belgian yeast strain and the Guava are unlike anything you are likely to have encountered. This is an elegant beer that pairs well with white fish, mussels, fresh tropical fruits and earthy cheeses. It also makes a fine accompaniment to Guavaween festivities.

75 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Clear amber/orange color. Huge, off white head with long retention & good lacing. Aroma’s of tropical (sweet & sour) fruit/guave, sweet spices (aniseed). Flavor is light sweet, sweet spices. Medium bodied, rather soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry, but not bitter. Actually nicer than I expected, rather refreshing.

Shared by someone at the Monte’s Krown tasting yesterday. Huge thanks to whoever brought this one, this was one of m favorite beers of the night, and I’m not a CCB homer at all. This beer was excellent. Funk in the nose, taste is slightly sour, unpredictable and very unexpected. Very solid and funky. Awesome.

ours a light copper color with a two finger head into my bruery tulip, great lacing while the head sticks around. Aroma of Belgian yeast, citrus, feint guava and light pepper. Taste follows the nose, nothing stands out intensely but the flavors come together in sweet deliciousness! I love this beer, it’s easy to drink and ridiculously refreshing.

Thanks to djrn for sending this bottle my way. The beer pours an orange-amber color with a large white head. The aroma is classic saison, with some strong biscuit malt notes. There is also quite a bit of tartness, lemon and light funk. The flavor is similar. The biscuit and toffee malt go very well with the wheat and a little bit of tartness. The light acidic notes work very well and add to the beer’s drinkability. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Glad I got to try this one.

Cloudy orange beer. Light nose of sourish malt and mild guava. Mildly sour with the guava providing some counterpoint sweetness.Light frothy finish that is also dry. Slightly metallic aftertaste. Quite drinkable.

Thanks travlr! 750 ml bottle. Hazy peach pour with a gigantic fluffy head. Nose holds monstrous apricot stonefruit and kiwi tropical fruit, while the flavor brings a touch more doughy yeast and floral lightness to blend with that fruit. Extremely carbonated and effervescent. Good stuff.
