Backlogged rating (JoePeesie Beer Porn gathering). Not much notes on this one... Deep golden hue with a lively fizzy head. The aroma is fruity, woody, resiny and a touch of aspirin. The taste is twangy, tannic, biscuity and led to a aggressive and dry mouth feel. A nice beer but sort of a gimmick if you ask me.

From the bottle, amber and copper pour with an aroma of citrus, resin and some caramel malts. Taste is hoppy and good with some bitterness and woody character. Good stuff.

750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a hazy amber color with a two finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is light floral and citrus hops, and toasted malt. Flavor is esters, hops, and toasted malt. Medium to full body. A good bit of bitterness remains in the finish. I couldn’t detect the wood from the ball bats. A nice beer. I bet it was even better at release. Thanks Jason.

750mL bottle bomber pours a clear gold body with copper hues and tall off white to tan head. The aroma offers up somewhat citrus hoppiness followed by malt sweetness and a touch of resiny pine like bitter notes. The aroma attains sort of a rich quality with the rich hoppiness backed up by a nice maltiness. The taste has a nice mix of what seems to be flavor and bitter hops from mostly citrusy grapefruit and tangelo and a sliver of lime. There is a persistent bitter near resiny-ness just behind those notes that takes on a pine hop to cedar wood like sensation. This comes close to the sensation of what licking a freshly milled baseball bat dipped in grapefruit juice(?) might be like. This is good stuff. I love the mix of hops, mild wood and slight maltiness in the background. It ends up rich as well as easy drinkin’

750 from PUB’R. Pours turbid dark straw golden with 4-finger fluffy white head. Nose is pale malt, hops, mild tropical fruit and black pepper. Tastes malty, hoppy, with a medium level of hop pop, some late tannins, and notes of pineapple and tangerine throughout. This is a good IPA, but drinking it after some of the legendary Cigar City IPAs/IIPAs is like getting an autograph from Ty Whittington after you already have a Mike Schmidt and Pete Rose.

Dark straw colored with lacy white head. Aroma is soapy and sweet. Taste is soapy and thin, a bit bitter. Mouthfeel is thin. This beer is not so good, has this soapy character I don’t dig.

Great surprise IPA here. Aroma is nice grapefruit, caramel, dank grass, and berries. Taste is lightly sweet and slightly bitter. Really nice and refreshing with nice spice notes and great finish.
