COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed and fermented in Puerto Rico, dry-hopped exclusively with Simcoe hops in the shipping container back to Tampa where it was canned at Cigar City Brewing. The voyage truly makes this a Caribbean-style India Pale Ale.

Pours an orange yellow. Aroma of flowery citrus hops. Taste is lightly malted with bitter notes stretching from the first second through the taste. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from BoostIPA. Aroma is nice tropical hops, flavor is similar. Too simcoey, but still a nice beer.

Can. Pours a clear golden with some light white head. Aroma is pineapple and dirt but nothing overwhelming be that good or bad. Taste is more pineapple at the front with some maltyness midway through and some overly bitter and not pleasant aftertaste. I didn’t get a lot of tropical from this but it was still a descent IPA. Love the can!

Smooth, lightly floral hoppiness that balances with grass and earthy flavors. Some hints of citrus zest, tapering finish.

Can from a trade. Pours a clear yellow/orange. Nose is very tropical, sweeter than Jai Alai - mango and pineapple, also with pine and grass. Flavor starts out tropical sweet with mild malt and hoppiness, Good carbonation. Good, interesting IPA.

Overall pretty good IPA here. The simcoe hops obviously shine in this brew. Aroma is not as hoppy as the taste, great mouthfeel on this one. Taste is bitter resinous simcoe Hoppiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy simcoe hop and small malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy earthy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This is a good beer.

Draft at Khyber Pass. Poured a slightly hazy deep orange amber with a off-white foam which formed a lasting thick ring. Simcoe. Simcoe. Simcoe. Presented strongly but not harshly. Ends are smoother and better rounded than other Simcoe centric beers I have had (i.e. read Spice of Life). Easy drinking without being soft. Great woody, dark resin notes with some dark amber fruit. An oak tree in a glass. It takes work to make such a dry hopped brew feel so effortless and I appreciate it. Great stuff!
