Brewed and fermented in Puerto Rico, dry-hopped exclusively with Simcoe hops in the shipping container back to Tampa where it was canned at Cigar City Brewing. The voyage truly makes this a Caribbean-style India Pale Ale.

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy simcoe hop and small malt aroma. Medium to abundant body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate to heavy earthy bittersweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. This is a good beer.

A golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with fruity esters, kiwi and mango, and citrusy floral hops, catty notes, very nice. In mouth, a smooth biscuit malt with smooth floral hops, light butterscotch, very nice. Sampled at Tørst from my neighbor.

Can at home. Pours very lightly hazy dark amber with a large, foamy off-white head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is grassy, herbal, resin, and pine hops, apple and pear esters with biscuit and honey malt. Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, supporting malt, fruity esters, and a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation.

Can shared at GABF by the man himself. Thanks!! Lovely hopped beer, hinting towards the west coast style. Not crazy bitter, but quite hoppy, resin, grassy...nice stuff.

Can @ home, courtesy of BlackIPA. Thanks! This probably needs to be aliased to the other Hopped on the High Seas entry. Pours a touch hazy dark orange appearance with a creamy, cream colored head. Spicy tropical fruity, grapefruity, pineapple, grassy aroma. Piney, a bit resiny, pineapple, light bubblegum, slight toasted, biscuity malty flavor with light bitterness and some fruit on the finish. Not bad.

Can… Clear orange pour with a small, wispy, off-white head. The nose is a blend of caramel, cookie, citrus and pine. Full-bodied and almost chewy with tickling carbonation. At room temperature, this baby has a firm malt backbone, but all residual sweetness is pulverized by a heavy-handed Simcoe hop bill and schedule. Assertive, citrus rind and pith bitterness in both the flavor and lengthy finish.

Pour out of 12 oz can, thanks a ton Paul! Clear orange pour with thin white head, aroma brought notes of big grapefruit, orange, lemon peel, nice hints of pineapple and mango, slight biscuit, bread, hints of grass. Taste is a mix of bitter pine, grass, into orange peel, spicy notes from the yeast and hops, finishing slightly herbal, hints of orange peel, spicy, bitter.
