Pours the signature CCB glass ruining, pitch black with deep brown head. Nose is roasted malts, chocolate, hints of bourbon, vegetal hops. Reminds me of 110K batch #2. Flavor is huge roast with semi-citrus hop notes and good amount of oak and bourbon. Pretty nice.

Growler courtesy of Degarth. Poured black with a tall dark brown head. Nose is roasted malt, chocolate, light whiskey, and hops. Full body with a creamy mouth feel. Rich chocolate, roasted malt flavor with a good amount of sweetness and a good amount of hop bitterness to balance it out. Whiskey comes through pretty mild. Hoppy finish.

wetherel "growler" though the smallest growler iíve ever heard, FL laws i heard are odd with growlers. dasilky tasting. pours black with a super thin dark bubble rim. dark and rich, boozie characteristics are there but intigrated, sweet oak / coconut flavors and vanilla. the dry hopping adds some complexity aromatically but luckily no green vegital flavors I thought the hops might have added. a very rare treat, my 1st cigar city brew, bravo!

Dasilky1 tasting. Dec 13th 2009. 16oz growler from Daknole. Thanks Dakine! Wow. Very good. Chocolatey. Heavy body, but sweetness is mild. Dark chocolate bitterness. Easy to drink. I canít get any barrel characteristics, other than maybe the beer has mellowed a little bit. No oxidized hops. Low to no carbonation. Itís funny. When I first tried it, I thought it was awesome. But now, the next morning, entering in my rating I remember it as just being great. Either way itís a very good beer.

Pours a deep dark brown with no head. Smells charred and smokey with a little licorice and peaty notes, with whiskey notes hovering softly in the background. Very soft yet existent carbonation, Charred flavors with aggressive resiny hop backing. Flavors show hints of chocolate and dark fruits (plum), coffee, tar, but with the majority of the experience concentrating on the charred notes which i think somewhat clashes with the aggressive bitterness. The whiskey notes come through dry and whiskey harsh with no real vanilla or sweet notes. Interesting but a little harsh.

Shared by Moejuck. Pours inky black with a rich tan head. Aroma of chocolate, caramel malts, coffee, burnt brown sugar, slight oak. Flavor is dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, some light oak, vanilla. Palate is silky smooth, light carbonation, finished mostly sweet initially then some hop bitterness. I donít detect much of the Whiskey, which I like. Exceptional!
