Handbottle 50 cl. Courtesy of daknole. Pours an opaque pitch black with a brown head. Aroma is dark burned malts and vanilla with a whiff of whisky. Solid body, hard roasted malt and vanilla while the oak doesn’t really come through that much. Malt bitter finish. Thanks for the treat Dak! 230410

Bottle at Papsø. Pitch black coloured with a small brown head. Roasted aroma of dark chocolate and hops with notes of smoke and liquorice. Roasted flavour of dark chocolate, smoke, liquorice and hops. Dry roasted finish.

Bottle @ Papsø. Thanks. Pours pitch black with s creamy dark brown head and lacings. Nose is hard roasted coffee . Very vinous. Flvor is roasted and cold coffee like. The carbonation is low. Oily and slick. Notes of whiskey and citrus hops. Dry, roasted and hoppy end. Nice

Tasting at Papsø
Black color; brownish creamy head. The aroma shows some wet cardboard, roasted malts, light coffee. Quite thick and oily mouthfeel; strong roasted malt and chocolate flavor, some coffee, with a boozy finish. Unimpressive.

(1L Growler, courtesy of mar) Pours a black body with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted grain, anise star, citrus, brown sugar, marshmallow, chocolate, and caramel. Flavor of roasted malt, caramel, citrus, grass, and chocolate with a bitter finish. Tasty!

Bottle at Papsø 23-Apr-2010 - Thanks. Pitch black - brown edges. Whiskey, tobacco, ashes, coffee, chocolate, sticky, high bitterness, high hoppy, grassy, citrus, burned. Very nice.

Super inky, mega black with a very dark brown head. Most stouts are lighter in colour than that head. The aroma is rich, like a DL or Expedition. Hoppy, bitter with super rich malt, chocolate, Cuban coffee on the palate. Molasses, too. For such an intense beer, this is balanced and quality.

Black with a large deep beige head. Sweet aroma with burned malt, dark chocolate, espresso and woody notes. Flavour had burned malt, dark chocolate, vanilla, whiskey, wood, espresso and plenty of hops. Finished sweet.
