COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Why so punny? “Helles” is German for “light colored.” Hotter Than Helles is more than just a (very) silly pun; it perfectly reflects the nature of this beer. A lager meant to be consumed when it’s truly hotter than helles outside. So there are no peppers or spices in this beer!

Draft at the growler NYC. Pours a cloudy yellow orange color with a head that fades. Slightly hot flavor toward the end. Interesting

A very light style done exceptionally well. Very delicate. No hops. Another winner from Cigar City.

Lack of aroma (could be the glass) with a pale yellow color. Balanced malt and hops give way to a hop bite reminiscent of a Czech pilsner. Finishes clean.

Nice pour and aroma, light berry scent over lagery grains. Pours with a puffy white head and a clear rich gold. Light to medium bodied, lightly sparkling character, grainy flavour, not too light, refreshing.

Poured from can into pint glass: Pours golden with a one finger white head. Aroma is corn, champagne, grass. Taste is more of the same with a nice sweetness to be expected with this beer, and a little bitter finish on the back end. Light body, medium carbonation, nice beer for it’s style.

Appearance: clear gold with two fingers of creamy, fizzy white head, decent lacing. Aroma: prominent aroma of sweet corn, light cracker, some grassy hops. Taste: sweet, corny and grainy, with a bit of earthy, grassy hops and just a hint of pepper. Finish: sweetness lasts a bit, and there’s a bit of minerality. Notes: This was not a bad beer, but I can’t help but compare it unfavorably to the Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold. Can from Knightly Spirits in Orlando, Florida.

Very nice for style. Pours golden blonde with OK head and lacing. Nice snap of German hops and good crisp barley. Nice, and a great lawnmower beer. Touch of bitterness. Can.

Can from wines beers and more naples florida. Pours clear golden. Grass, cereal, hay aroma. Biscuit sweet flavour with corn cereal in there. Creamy mouthfeel with bubbles. Not bad for style.

12oz can from knightly williamsburg poured to tall glass. aroma is clean mowed grass, fresh hay bales. tinge of sweetness, light perfume. appearance is barely clouded sunshine with copious soap bubbles which build quickly even under a careful pour. flavor is fresh scrubbing bitterness, lightly sizzling pine coats the sides of the tongue. fresh meadows lush with floral foliage sweep over the fore and aft, dry finish.
