COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Why so punny? “Helles” is German for “light colored.” Hotter Than Helles is more than just a (very) silly pun; it perfectly reflects the nature of this beer. A lager meant to be consumed when it’s truly hotter than helles outside. So there are no peppers or spices in this beer!

Cigar City Hotter Than Helles has that distinctive CCB signature and it doesn’t disappoint. Nice frothy head and clear yellow color. Fruity, bready aroma with malty taste with just the right amount of hops. HTH is a refreshing drink that goes down easy with the taste lingering long after the last sip.

UPDATED: MAY 21, 2012 On draft @ CCB. Pours a clear yellow. Nose is clean grains, hints of hops. Flavor is super clean, flawless. Perfect drinking beer. Call me a homer ... my NEW favorite CCB beer.

Draft @ ravenous pig. Honey and fresh baked white bread on the nose. Pours gold with a thin white head and light cascading bubbles. Crisp grassy hops with loads of honey malt and white bread. Super fresh tasting and very bright.

Pours a bright yellow color with a thick white head. Nice pale malt aroma, lightly sweet with a solid hop bite! Clean and crisp, very comparable to schlenkerla helles.

Awesome beer!! Didn’t expect this one to be so good. Nose is Honey Nut Cheerios. Honey and sweet malts/grain entice the nose and make this one very enticing. Like fresh baked sweet rolls. Poured out a nice clear yellow with a nice white head. Taste was super refreshing. Honey and fresh baked bread notes make this one a winner. Slightly earthy/grassy hops balance it out nicely making this one a definite winner. I could drink 20 glasses of this and still want another one. Great!

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2013 12 oz can poured into a pint glass. Not too impressed by the aroma or appearance. Normal gold color to the appearance, and an aroma similar to most other lagers out there. Impressions changed when I took a sip, absolutely delicious! Fruity hops and sweet malts combine to make this have a flavor not too different from wild honey. Relatively thick and juicy mouthfeel as well. $4.50 at the Gnarly Barley in Orlando, went down great with bean tacos. Brought a few cans home, upon further drinking this may be my favorite lager yet.
