UPDATED: SEP 11, 2012 New rating: Cask at Pony Bar, NYC. Cedar aroma, woody, malty, hay, apples, grass, pear, some roasted notes, citrus. Such a change from the bottle version. Cedar flavor, fruity, hoppy, woody, some grass, hay, pine apple, grapes, pear. Old rating: 2.4. Bottle at CCB Day, Sätila 2012-07-07. Hazy golden beer with a small offwhite head. Cedar aroma. Way too much cedar. Hoppy and fruity. Cedar flavor, again way too much. Hoppy and fruity once you manage to get behind the massive wall of cedar. Why mess up a good beer!

750 ml botle poured a hazy golden amber with a lasting off white head. Aromas of biscuit, orange, pink grapefruit, cedar and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a smooth finish. Flavors of biscuit, grapefruit, orange and cedar with a smooth lingering bitter finish. One of the better Cigar City beers I’ve tried!

from erzbierschof.ch - pours a hazy dark bronze-orange colour under a little persistent beige foam left; nice lacework; a solid spicy and piney aroma with hoppy notes of grapefruit; full-bodied and sticky yet velvety palate; very spicy and pretty hot hoppy aftertaste with notes of pine needles, grapefruit and marzipan - absolutely marvelous beer, robust, complex and balanced
