Sep 13, 2009 Bottle shared by MaxxDaddy. Cloudy orange pour with a wispy white head. Big, sweaty, funky hop aroma, a bit of spicy cedar. Sweet and chewy flavor, more cedar spice, and a mild sweaty funk. A nice beer but not 99th percentile good.

Sep 13, 2009 Bottled. An unclear amber beer with a thin lazing white head. The aroma is very spicy - ginger and cardemomme, combined with notes of cedar wood and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of cedar wood, spices - ginger and cardemomme, oranges, on a malty back ground, leading to a dry spicy finish where the cedar wood note lingers.

Sep 13, 2009 Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of Retorp. Clear deep golden with a lacing off-white head. Extremely spicy, citrusy hop aroma. Medium body, some citrusy fruitiness, extremely peppery end enticingly spicy - must be the cedar. Dry, hoppy and bitter finish. Very interesting. 130909

Sep 11, 2009 Bottle while on vacation in Orlando. Pours amber gold with decent head. Plenty of lacing. Plenty of floral and citrusy hops. Grapefruit and pine. This was countered by the malty sweetness, and perhaps a bit of fruit. I love to get the bottom of the bottle and get some of that yeast. While it didn’t add much in the way of flavor, as would be the case in a Belgian offering, the yeast here was great at mellowing out the hops. As it warmed it turned into smooth but complex beer. The alcohol was very well hidden. Extremely smooth IPA.
