Rated 3/28/13. Thanks to Momar42 for the 12 oz bottle! Poured into a Duvel tulip. A: Pours a hazy dark copper color with many yeast particles floating about. The head is a two finger white shade. Retention is fine, but the lacing left behind is great. S: The cedar qualities here are downright shameless - to the point where they nearly overpower the trademark tropical fruit aromas of the regular Jai Alai. Honestly, though, it works in a strange way. Strong black pepper, smoke, and phenolic notes are prevalent, too. T: Again, the word íshamelessí comes to mind when describing how the wood aging impacts the flavor profile. Citrusy hops exist as a secondary player behind the cedar, and create a minor effect of emphasizing notes of black pepper, pine, and smoke. One of the more complex IPAs Iíve ever had. It never balances fully - considering how much of the wood qualities come through, itís probably as balanced as it could ever be. The cedar harshness calms down after several swigs, too. M: Like the base (Jai Alai), itís very dry yet unclean. The texture is light and crisp enough where Iíd call it refreshing. Good ease of drinkability, as well. O: I applaud the experimental bend of this brew, and it succeeds at a moderate level. Itís quite tasty, but I think regular Jai Alai is just a smidge better.

Not bad - not my favorite, but it won't be the worst beer I drink tonight. It's my first beer from Cigar City - it won't be my last. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours hazy orange with a strong white head from a can, a rare full 5 for appearance. Nose has raisin, tropical fruit, orange and berries. Malty and bitter with citrus and hay. Sweet with full body, slick texture and soft carbonation. A very nice IPA that i will return to if given the chance.

Have had bottled and canned. No detailed notes - entering some local stuff Iíve missed. The cedar and rye is not as heavy as in some of the other Humidor series beers. Fairly refreshing despite the "gimmick."

My 100 th rating. One of my favorite beers. Big hop aroma with mango grass and pine. Evident Spanish cedar in nose and flavor. Everything in flavor last through out finish. Perfect balance.

17.5.2014. Aroma with exotic fruits, mostly mango. Fruity taste with mango and passionfruit. Excellent fruity IPA.

12 oz can into a tulip. The pour is an ambery orange color with a lot of sediment and a beautiful bright white head. The aroma is pretty great. There is a lot of tropical fruit sweetness, some good prune or cherry on the back end, and a nice woody funkiness that would be from the cedar. It's really good. The flavor is much different. There is a bitterness that isn't from bright hops. It's just a soft deep bitterness. It's really good. The fruits aren't too prevalent here, but the cedar dominates. Really woody and lightly spicy. The mouth feel is great! It's a thicker medium body with a soft carbonation and a delightful lingeringly fruity and bitter aftertaste. Very good ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mycket cedar!! Fantastisk! Efter 6 månaders lagring är dock humlen död, dock ändå en fantastisk öl. Som sagt mycket cedar, lite kåda & grape I en geggig karamell. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Julie says it is an Andy beer. Very hoppy and bitter and not a julie beer. Blah. She gives it a 1.2.
