Growler… Lightly hazed amber ale with golden highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Good retention. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Peppery, earthy, hoppy bouquet – black pepper, juniper berries and spicy cedar. Bitter, peppery, herbal flavor. Lengthy bitter finish.

Tap at Rattle N Hum. Pale golden pour. Crystal clear pour. The nose is just awesome in here. Loads of rich sweet cedar and a touch of juniper pine and fruitiness. Rich and hoppy and very dry finish. Soft but insistent hoppiness. Creamy, herbal and delicious. The mix of juniper and cedar adds a bright resinousness with a lingering pininess from the hops that integrate incredibly well.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Sammy (6120) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 19, 2010
UPDATED: FEB 21, 2010 On tap at Cigar City takes NYC event at Rattle ’N’ Hum. Tasty IPA, the juniper brings out a very good bitterness, surprisingly. The juniper is there, but so is a bit of booziness. Average mouthfeel, mucho floral. Had it again the next day.It grows on you and is a good drinkability and unique complexity.

Draft. Pours a orange toned body with a white head. Dry juniper berry notes, musky cedar notes, pepper tones, and a drying berry sweetness. A delicious twist on an IPA.

Bottle. Deep amber color, thick cream colored head with god retention. Aroma of Christmas, detectable from across the room. Taste is bitter pine resin, but not overwhelming. Very nice.

Tap at RnH. wow- one of my favorites of the night. I was really into this one since it was very unique, easy drinking and just tasted good to me all around. Pours a mostly clear copper with a thin lasting off white head. Aroma is big in the juniper and pine sap, but not medicinal or solventy, woody, earthy, leafy, berry, gin, wood, cedar oil. Flavor is light caramel, toast, sesame seed, birch bark, mint, wood, cedar oil, juniper berry, bark, and earth, pine sap, and finish is earthy slight oily, cedar and mostly dry with a lingering medium bitter hoppy and juniper finish. nice!
4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ibrew2or3 (4914) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 6, 2010
On tap at the Brass Tap. Pours up deep gold with copper core, off white head and straight up sheet lacing coating every square millimeter of the interior glass surface area. The aroma is huge – knock you on your keyster cedar and then planks of wood, some herbaliness, some floral hoppy like notes, a resiny spice note and then sweet citrus hops off in the background. The taste has enough big pine and citrus hops to keep up with the cedar onslaught and herbal shrubbery spicy juniper notes. Amongst all the hops and cedar some modest malt sweetness surfaces from time to time. Smooth luscious body on this one too. I guess the juniper really pulls cedar forward or something. Very cedar-y beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 riversideAK (4566) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - AUG 14, 2010
Nose is iced tea, juniper, and cedar. Pours hazy amber, thin foam ring. Iced tea, juniper, cedar, garlic, gin. Weird beer. Sweet iced tea lingers. Kind of dry, kind of weird. Not my favorite.

Medicine bottle. Thanks ibrew2or3 and brandon. Pours a burnished dark amber with a loose and sudsy white head. Gin and fresh cut cedar on the nose. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toast, gin, cedar, garlic, and pine resin on the mid palate. Resiny finish.
