750 ml bottle filled at the brewery. Pours a mostly clear, dark reddish brown color crowned by a small, lasting khaki colored foamy that leaves nice rings of lace behind. The aroma shows the same cocoa and caramel malt as the base beer to go with hints of vanilla, pepper, and oily cedar wood. The flavor follows with big peppery spice and cedar wood to go with the cocoa and some coffee roast. The cedar really shines through and is pretty intense with the peppery bite. Medium bodied with good carbonation that leads a spicy ppeppery and woody finish. The cedar really overtook the base beer here. I love the cedar flavor, but I think I prefer the other humidor brews to this one. It seems like the bigger base beers stand up better to the cedar wood. Still a solid beer though.

Pours a deep dark ruby brown. Slight khaki head. Aromas of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, oatmeal, metallic with a slightly sour note. Flavors of toffee, malt, coffee, brown sugar, roasted grains, a nice oat flavor, slight metallic flavor, slightly bitter from the roastyness. Mouthfeel is thin and slightly sticky but not too bad. Overall a pretty solid beer. Kinda tastes along the lines of a porter. Worth a try

On tap for frikin friday, 12 ounce pour that was hazy brown, aromas of wood, oatmeal, and malt. Tasted like the maduro with a touch of wood/tobacco in it.

Bottle 75cl. A clear dark amber colour with an average high, off-white head. An aroma of roasted malt, caramel and pepper. The taste is really sweet and medium bitter. A medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation and a long finish.

12oz bottle. absolutely love it. smokey with a raisen, toffee, and chocolate finish. slightly thin but the flavors are still intense. very balanced with just enough bitterness to cut through the underlying sweetness. despite doubting the beer/cigar pairing in the marketing, i can absolutely see how a good maduro and this beer would be awesome together. very very good stuff. glad to have it in 12oz until such time my fair state allows the 24oz’ers.

Re-entering older ratings.

Have had this twice now I believe. A nice easy drinking brown ale. On the malty side which I like, a touch of roasted malt bitterness to balance it out. Nice full body.

Poured from a 12oz bottle. Color is a cloudy brown with a I finger head. Nose is malt, cedar, toffee, and spices. This brown ale has a real nice aroma. Taste was sweet and followed the nose for the most part. This is a real tasty everyday kind of brown and one of the in this style that I have had.

Handbottled at Papsø’s - Thanks. Cloudy brown - offwhite head. High cedertree, fruity, spicy, peppery, roasted, grassy, citrus, high malty, dried fruits, smooth and pleasant. Lovely.
