Had this on draft. Pours a amber/Red color with a white head. Hello Cedar! Can I have some more Cedar? Smells like a cigar box. Nice caramel nose in the back. Nice body similar to the regular version. The Cedar does not disappear on the tongue. A little roasty as well. Solid Humidor creation of Tocobaga

This beers amazing!! Dry hopped pint at the brewery. Deep golden amber with light off white head. Nose is caramel malts and hops, citrus and a little spice. Flavor is amazing, hops come right through, citrus. Bold amber and caramel malts with good cedar background. This beer is great all over.

Draft at Cigar City during Hunahpu Day 2012.
Pours a dark amber/chestnut brown color with burnt orange hues and a two finger yellowish beige head that slowly settles into a lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing are left behind.
Slightly smokey aroma with lots of toasted oak and cedar along with light fruit, citrus and pale malt. Hints of apple and other light fruit along with citrus rind, earthy, piney hops and pale biscuity malt.
Medium bodied but fuller than expected with a decent cedar presence up front that doesn’t overpower the other flavors. Lots of dry cedar/wood countered by citrus/light fruit notes and biscuit malt. Some of the humidor series beers are overly dry and taste like toothpick but the hop and malt flavors are still prominent in this one. Some dry, resinous hop bitterness but not overdone with some citrus and light fruit character balancing things out. Subtle pale malt with touches of biscuit and graham cracker. Nicely done, well balanced beer with the cedar flavor subtly integrated.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Chipalsa (1087) - Florida, USA - JUN 20, 2012
Twas’ able to get a small pour before it kicked. Unfortunately the cedar aging took away that spicy hoppiness I’d hoped for. Instead (and it’s still pretty damn good) you get a light touch of honey among some fresh hop flavor and grapefruit tartness. The finish is dry and clean, not giving a hint of the generous alcohol level.

Entering in an old rate, poured an amber color, aromas of spice, caramel, malt, and light cedar. Flavors are the same with a smidge of pine comming through, interseting overall.

Amber. Has a woody, smokey, balanced nose. Very tasty, light hoppy character of the Tocobaga, but with a big woody finish.

Draft… CCB’s Hunahpu’s Day 2012… Murky caramel ale with a small, fragile, white head. Decent retention. The aroma is hop-forward with earthy, citrus notes that lay nicely upon undercurrents of caramel, toffee and woody, spicy cedar. Full-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and modest carbonation. The flavor provides nice hop bitterness balanced carefully by medium-roast malts and a peppery, woody cedar component. Crisp, lightly bitter, cedary finish.

Amber pour, light head. Aroma is spicy, hoppy, some cedary notes. Flavor has the cedar and big red ale notes. Not bad, but not amazing.

On draft at Cigar City for Hunahpu Day. Pours a nice orange amber with a white head. Nose is caramel, malt, along with pine hops and cedar merging and melding like Spock and Kirk in a Vulcan Mind Meld. Flavor is similar- I enjoyed the way the biting hops and the cedar melded. Interesting beer, with a light to medium body and lingering woody bitterness.
