Pours black as hell with a typical reddish brown head. Flavors are incredible. Peppers, cinnamon, bourbon, brandy, vanilla, cocoa...just wicked shit. Fuck yeah.

Dark brown, nearly black pour with a tan head. Aroma is brandy, spice, chocolate and taste is brandy, chocolate, peppery goodness. So very awesome, one of the best beers Iíve ever had!

Timmy coming through in the clutch! Sludge black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma is heaven, deep thick fudge, coconut, vanilla roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is similar all the way throughout. Transcendent, absolutely incredible.

At jacobís with group. Pour is black with faint lacing. Aroma is sweet complex bourbon/brandy, big delicious roasted malt, cream brule. Taste is phenomenal, complex malt, some cinnamon spice. It is hard to describe, it reminds me of rare, has a beautiful unique sweet booze note in there, so savory and so good.

750ml bottle, via trade. pour is marvelous. oil slick, syrupy, jet black that sits still in the glass capped by a thin ring of rusty head. aroma is sublime with huge dark chocolate, coffee, smoked peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, and dark rum. flavor follows suit with subtle, toasted oak, bourbon, and mild pepper heat showing their presence along with dark fruits, cinnamon apples, and chocolate cake. palate is simply perfect with silky carbonation, coating mouthfeel, and lingering finish of cocoa, wood, and spices. overall, just another perfect iteration of Hunahpuís.

Bottle. Huge thanks to the local group for sharing this with me. Pours deep black, very dense. Very little head on the pour but still looks awesome. Aroma is ridiculously good. Can smell it from a couple feet away. Apple brandy, chocolate chip cookies, berries, vanilla, cinnamon, soy, and marshmallow. Tastes just as incredible as the aroma. Apple brandy, chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, chocolate syrup, cinnamon, light smokey peppers, and a hint of dried dark fruit. Perfect mouthfeel as well. Very low carbonation makes this extremely smooth and allows the huge flavors to stand out. Iíve had a couple days to think about this beer and Iím convinced itís the best beer Iíve ever had. My first perfect 5. I would trade many bottles in my cellar to get another one of these.

Iím not sure what to say here. This is the second-best liquid Iíve tasted to date (the best being a 40 yo scotch). The liquor is well balanced and smooth. The spice comes through perfectly. The color is black, but only because I have no words to describe the next shade darker than black. Savor every drop that you can if you are lucky enough to come by this.

Bottle all to myself because I am a selfish bastard. This one pours pitch black, thick and inky looking, with nothing but a little rim of dark brown bubbles on top until I get a bit more aggressive, then I get a nice small dark brown head on top. Beautiful. Big time sweet cocoa aroma with apple brandy and some rum in the background, a bit of cinnamon, some light chile powder, booze, and some faint vanilla (I donít get much vanilla in the regular version anyway). Flavor is wow. Big time fudge hits you at the start, with a kick of cinnamon, vanilla, very faint chile burn on the way down. And thatís just the start. There is a nutty flavor from the apple brandy that accents the cocoa and cinnamon perfectly. The rum is subdued, which I am glad about, but adds a subtle extra sweetness and spice, similar to what I got from Forgotten Island. The melody of flavors in this come together almost as well as Founders CBS. This has a thick viscous body as expected from CCB, with low carbonation (but more than Cali Brandy). It goes down incredibly easy relative to Cali as well. The spices really offset the sweetness nicely and make this a pretty amazing offering. To be honest, I came into this expecting some disappointment after Cali Brandy. This is a completely different beer. Wow.

Holy balls, best variant of hunahpu variant ever. Incrdidbly complex flavors. The port barrels plays so nice with the chocolate chili flavors of the base beer. Perfect chili stout.
