COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, what you have here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like catching your favorite song on the radio with hints of the parking meter expiring, but not getting a ticket. It’s good.

Pours a pitch black with a light tan head. Nose is intense chocolate, light roast, nice bourbon flavor. Very rich nose. Absolutely fantastic dense milk chocolate up front with light bitterness and tons of bourbon flavors at the end. Heavy rich mouthfeel. This one feels like its about 10.5% but none is listed. Smooth but definitely strong. Really awesome beer.

750 mL bottle from CCB. Pours a dark brown with a pretty dark tan head. Nose is whiskey, mallow, booze, some dark fruit, hints of vanilla, chocolate, vague oreo sugary sweetness, and just a pinch of earth. Flavor is massive chocolate, whiskey, vanilla, wood, some lactose, some vague bit of fruit, and more milk porter than the rum version. The wood does not hit until the finish and that is where I get char, whiskey, cookie, lactose, and a bit of booze that recedes like it wasn’t invited. This is all manner of delicious and maintained the milk porter flavor much better than did the rum version, not to mention the smooth body on top of that. Outstanding.

750ml bottle that pours pitch black with a thick tan/brown head that looked like chocolate milk. Aromas of choclate, roasted malt, espresso, and whisky. Flavors match aromas, with a warming sensation from the whisky as the aftertaste.

Tap. Nice notes of wood and chocolate with a coffee background. Mainly wood though. Poured dark black. This one tasted oaky and chocolatey. Some dried fruit esters in there as well. Alcohol too. Pretty darn good but not as good as the rum version.

First!? WELL... The body is pure black, with a perfect little off-white head. Smells like coffee, dark chocolate and alcohol with a touch of raisins. The flavor is explosive, full of lush dark chocolate, hops and a little wood. Finishes strong with the alcohol and cocoa bitter twang. It really is good.
