COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, what you have here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like catching your favorite song on the radio with hints of the parking meter expiring, but not getting a ticket. Itís good.

A big thanks to MeadMe for spoiling me with Cigar City goodies in our last trade, I owe you one! Pours a solid dark brown/black color with a bubbly tan head that slowly dissipates to a ring on top. The aroma is sweet with sugar and whiskey with lots of char, roast and caramel in there for good measure. The flavor is a bit on the sweet side, lots of sugar and caramel mixed with some roast, oak and a sweet whiskey flavor. Medium to thick body with a light level of carbonation and a sweet almost sugary mouthfeel. I enjoyed the hell out of this beer. If I had to fault it I would say it leans a bit on the sweet side, but I like em like that.

Bottle shared much thanks to Dmac. Pours out black with a small off white head. Aroma is of milk chocolate, some oak, and smooth bourbon. Taste is of chocolate, smooth, oaky vanilla bourbon notes, light warmth on the finish. Very smooth. One tasty beer.

Dark rich pour. Aroma has some whiskey, wood and a touch of fruit and sourness. Flavor has a bit more of the sour milk aspect to it. Whiskey and grapes, seemed to be an odd mix of flavors. Didnít blend well for me.

Pours a dark black color with a paperthin head, decent lacing throughout. Aroma is all whiskey, not a bad thing at all oak and whiskey with some vanilla in the back. Taste is whiskey up front and sweet chocolate and vanilla that follows. Mouthfeel is smooth but I couldnt drink a ton of this. Thinner than other milk stouts or impy stouts but not a bad change of pace. Iím really glad I tried this!

[bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Black, beige head. Looks like every other menacing barrel-aged porter. Has a slightly sweet, deep roasted malt aroma. Big whisky start on the flavour Ė sweet, deep bourbon before the finish arrives as slightly ashen. There is some lacto sweetness on the edge of the palate. It doesnít sit to well with the other sweetness from the wood, however [22042012]

Bottle at the TURD tasting. Pours near black with a beige head. Light whiskey sweetness in the aroma, with roasted malts, and milk chocolate. The flavor is sweet, with whiskey, milk chocolate, a hint of vanilla, and lightly roasted malts. Pretty good.

In bottle, thanks Craig! A black beer with a huge tan head. Aroma of chocolate, alcohol, caramel and roasty malt. Similar flavours with a little lactose and dark chocolate also. An oily mouth-feel with a pronounced alcohol burn that lingers.
