COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, what you have here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like catching your favorite song on the radio with hints of the parking meter expiring, but not getting a ticket. It’s good.

Bottle shared by badnewsbeers. Deep brown/red opaque body, medium-thick light brown head. Nose of chocolate (cocoa puffs), lactose, and buttery oak, harsh and boozy. Warm, almost harsh barrel flavors predominate, with cocoa puffs, brown sugar, and hints of marshmallow largely overwhelmed by huge booze and oak.

Thanks to travlr! Cola colored pour with a rich brown head. Nose holds huge lactic and milky presence, vanilla woodiness, along with fruity notes of cherry and pear. The flavor brings mostly the lactic and woody sweetness to the forefront. Really too much on that end of the spectrum for me. Still interesting and fairly tasty, but it didn’t do it for me.

750ml Bottle: Got in trade from biggsbowler; THANKS Randall! Aroma of whiskey, vanilla, slight coconut, and slight chocolate. Poured pitch black in color with a small, loose, brown head that diminished but lasted throughout. Opaque. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of whiskey, malt, roasting, coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Full body. Slick, smooth texture. Average carbonation. Whiskey, malt, chocolate, roasting, vanilla finish is slightly dry. 9%ABV is completely hidden throughout.

Bottle. Pours a nice deep brown color with a tan head. Bourbon/whiskey in the nose along with some roast, dark fruit, and black licorice. Some lace. Med mouthfeel. Sweet upfront profile with notes of the whiskey, and then malted milk, coco, and dark fruit. Wish the mouthfeel was a little heavier on this one but I think the whiskey probably thinned it out tad. Overall, I like this beer. Pretty complex with lots of things going on.

25oz from CC taproom. Pours a nice black hue with coffee color head. Sweeter aromas with the vanilla from the bourbon. I figured it might be too much, but on the palate it was balanced with the lactic sugar taking over in a pleasent way. Smooth finish, but I think I would have liked to try the regular Imperial Milk next to this one to really see how the bourbon took over because it was lighter than expected. Excellent offering.

nice stuff here, great extra from a very generous florida trader. this stuff drinks really great. the lactose adds a lot to the body and mouthfeel, absolutely terrific. very rich and thick. a very interesting combo with the whiskey profile, and it works well here. i will say that this brew HAS t be cold, closer to room temp it tastes like sour milk from the lactic acid, and not in any good way that i can discerne. its like a st stout, awesome really cold, nearly undrinkable closer to room temp. overall a fantastic and unique brew.

Thanks Travlr! Black pour with a smallish off white head. Vanilla cream, loads of lactose, and milky chocolate with a bit too much toffee- bordering on buttery. Interesting an tasty, but not outstanding.

750mL thanks to Travlr. The pour is a deep brown to black with a large, reddish head. Pretty menacing. Nose is heavy lacto, dairy, vanilla, woody, milk chocolate. Exactly would you would expect. Taste is rich, vanilla heavy, cinnamon milk chocolate ganache, very milk chocolate heavy. Nice oily, heavy mouthfeel. Very enjoyable. I like.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, dark brown head that settles quickly. Aroma of vanilla, whisky. Taste is milk chocolate and booze, with booze laced fudge. Interesting.
