COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, what you have here is a high gravity porter brewed with lactose and aged in whiskey barrels. It tastes like catching your favorite song on the radio with hints of the parking meter expiring, but not getting a ticket. It’s good.

Opaque brown beer, tiny tan head. Smooth palate with mild fine carbonation. Smooth milky sweet dark malt. No bitterness or roast here. Balanced by a nice amount of whisky. Finishes semi dry with a little minerals. Simple stuff but done well.

Bottle. Poured dark clear brown color with a large frothy brown head that mostly lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted dark chocolate woody aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture with flat carbonation. Medium to heavy complex bourbon sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish that was long lasting with a small alcohol bite. Standout well balanced barrel brew.

Bottle… This beer rocks!… Pours dark brown with a mid-sized, frothy, khaki head. Decent retention. The aroma is a mélange of coconut, caramel, milk chocolate, toasted nuts and big-time Stranahan’s whiskey. Medium to full-bodied with a mildly creamy mouthfeel and soft carbonation. The flavor mirrors the bouquet in that it is a luscious marriage of caramel, coconut and milk chocolate with a splash of whiskey. Warming, chocolaty, nutty, Stranahan’s finish. World class treatment of a solid milk porter!

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black, dark brown head that settles quickly. Aroma of vanilla, whisky. Taste is milk chocolate and booze, with booze laced fudge. Interesting.
