COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
So, what you have here is an imperial sweet stout aged in cognac barrels. It tastes like finding money in your coat pocket with hints of your bag being the first one out of the carousel at baggage claim. It’s good.

Viscous black pour with a small khaki head. Big cognac and roasted malt aroma. Sweet sugar, licorice, grapes, and vanilla. Dark chocolate, notes of coffee, and some smoke. There’s a nice cognac and vanilla sweetness to the flavor. Oak, licorice, chocolate, and roasted malt. Light smoke, some coffee, and dark fruit. Really oily on the tongue.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2013 750mL bottle, sent from LateStart (thanks Jordan), pours jet black with a small light brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, cognac barrels, some lactic acid and a bit of sourness. Flavour of sweet cognac barrels, some lactic acid (a la milk), and liqueur notes. Very complex, with a dynamic flavour profile, and full-bodied. Very sticky palate, and only slightly too sweet. Good stuff.

Sampled from bottle @ "Het is allemaal de schuld van Koen" tasting. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized quite quickly diminishing brown head. Aroma is malts, sweetish, honey, molasses, lightly sweetish liquorice. Taste malts, sweetish, sweetish liquorice, some alcohol sweetness, cognac BA provides some sweetness as well. Quite thick oily texture, full body, soft carbonation. Nice.
