"A very hoppy, juicy citrus American Pale Ale." Cigar City’s commercial description of Invasion is an example of both accuracy and word economy. Really, it covers about everything that needs to be said brilliantly. I’d add one more word, though: delicious.

Damn good pale ale. Like all the other reviews, very citrus nose and taste (grapefruit and lemon). Good, bitter finish. A tad thin.
I love that this FL beer has a distinct grapefruit taste. I wish more beers tried to reflect their region, even if by-proxy.

Thanks cards04 for the can. Nice pirate. Aroma of resin, citrus, fruit juice. Taste is somewhat bitter, but more on the fruity juicy side of the hops spectrum with a dry finish. Smooth creamy palate. Overall a very nice APA.

August 31, 2015 - can from Knightly. Clear golden pour with nice head and some lacing. Aroma was nice balance of citrus hops, sweet malt and some yeast. Taste consistent with aroma and very drinkable with quite a bit of flavor. Finish was only mildly bitter and very clean.

Hazy orange copper with a nice head. The aroma is mellow tropical fruit notes with some equally forward bready malt. The flavor is similar, and has a touch more citrus than the aroma. Pretty well balanced.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Fresh can from a trade with Weezel again. Pours and orange gold colour, a little hazy, lots of carb, lots of fluffy white head, leaving a fare amount of lacing behind. Nose is fresh tropical hop, orange, biscuity malt. Tastes, sweet, bitter, biscuity, a touch of caramel, there’s some orange again. Clean and refreshing.

A- Citrus, hoppy, grassy.
A- Orange color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Bitter, pine, grassy, citrus, juicy.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, bitter finish.
O- After almost having Cigar City convince me I like hoppy beers, this one made me kind of plateau. Balanced and pretty refreshing though.

Can from Homer321. Only 2 weeks old. Thanks Sean! It pours an orange gold color with an off white head. The aroma is nice and very peachy with hints of mango, grapefruit, florals, biscuits and toffee. The flavor is the same. Nice snappy hop character with grapefruit, peach, mango and florals along with solid biscuity, toffee malts. The body is very full for the ABV. Overall, a bit to biscuity for me, but it gets points for feeling much bigger than its ABV. Good stuff.
