Clear orange. Honey scent. A complex flavor that is a little heavy for a pale ale but good. Orange, tropical fruit and some bready malt.

12 oz can. Pours a clear golden color and topped by a small layer of off white foam that quickly settles into a thin film and leaves some sudsy lacing on the glass. The aroma shows of tropical fruit with orange, grapefruit, and mango coming to mind over a toasted caramel malt base. The citrus hops add their signature note on the back end as well. The flavor follows suit with the orange, grapefruit, and mango citrus fruit up front to go with ample citrus and pine hop bitterness that is balanced by the toasted caramel malts. Medium bodied and smooth that is easy drinking with ample carbonation that leads to a crisp, citrusy finish. When this beer is fresh and on point it is easily on the better pale ales around. Crushable and delicious.

Can. Cloudy yellow with a small off white head. Aromas of mango, grapefruit, biscuit, pine, bread and light pineapple. Flavor is the same. Light bodied, crisp with a dry, slightly bitter end.

Can. Cloudy golden amber pour with a white head and plenty of floating particles. Aroma is juicy and fruity, some pineapple and melon. Flavour is also very fruity, some nice balanced bitterness. A top-notch pale ale.

Can from cards, thanks! Aroma is tropical fruit, not super intense but nice. Juicy tropical fruit flavour, little malt body, all good and very nice!

From notes. On tap at Bell’s Funvitational on September 12. The pour is a clear, golden yellow color with a nice frothy white head and some good, soapy lace. The aroma is full of tropical fruits. It carries a certain juiciness that is hard not to like. There is a resounding dankness on the back end that is pretty good. The flavors are light. The tropical fruits, dank hops, and light malts are all there, but they are just that, really light. You’d get the impression that the aroma and flavors were from a full-strength and light beer, respectively. The mouth feel is thin and crisp, with a spritzy carbonation that carries a citrus juice aftertaste out in a quick-fading fashion. I was expecting more from this one.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2015 Sample at Funvitational. Aroma is sweet tropical fruit, malt, pine. Assistance is golden straw, white head. Taste is light, decent hops, but not much. Mouthfeel is crisp with harsh carbonation. Overall, I expected better.

A fantastic pale ale. Very smooth. Nice Florida orange juice aromas and flavours. A bit of dank. A bit of tropical fruit. Really refreshing.. Something I could drink a large quantity of.

"A very hoppy, juicy citrus American Pale Ale." Cigar City’s commercial description of Invasion is an example of both accuracy and word economy. Really, it covers about everything that needs to be said brilliantly. I’d add one more word, though: delicious.
