Nov 6, 2009 Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. Cloudy orange amber with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is like the cedar isle at Home Depot, and hops. Taste is spicy with some grass, cedar and hops.

Nov 5, 2009 bottle, thanks to Daknole, pours carmel with a medium frothy off white head. Aroma is soft with grapefruit and citrus hop, some apple cider. Flavor is nice and dry with toasted malt, very bready with nutty character ending moderately bitter with nice pear and apple finish.

Oct 31, 2009 Rating #300! 750 ml bottle poured into a tulip. Pours a clear gold/amber with thin off-white ring of a head. Aroma of sweet malt, bread, citrus, pine, and light cedar wood. I taste the cedar more than I smell it. Taste of raw untreated cedar lumber, pine, lemon pledge, sharp hop bite, and slightly sweet. Finishes dry. Crisp bitting carbonation, medium smooth mouthfeel. Good IPA, the cedar is different and it takes some getting used to, but it’s interesting and pretty good. Quite complex.

Oct 30, 2009 bottle thanks to Cavie or ericandersnavy, who shared it at the Houston RB Tasting in October. Pours a cloudy amber with a white head. Nose is of fermented citrus fruit and wood. Taste is of citrus hops and tobacco. Mouthfeel is very bitter.

Oct 27, 2009 Bouteille de 750 ml partagée lors d’une dégustation Ratebeer Montréal chez Altair. Arôme: Odeur de cèdre et d’agrumes avec une pointe résineuse. Apparence: La couleur est orangée légèrement voilée. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de cèdre et d’agrumes. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère présence d’agrumes en arrière goût. (Rating #2704)

Oct 26, 2009 750 ml bottle via trade with smith4498 - Pours a cloudy amber color with a one and a half finger thick off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is floral, citrus, and pine hops with a touch of sweet toasted malt hiding behind the hops. I can’t detect any cedar in the aroma. I’m bummed because cedar is one of my favorite aromas. Flavor has a little more malt to it, but the hops still stand out. I’m not quite sure I’m detecting the cedar. There is a light spiciness I’m getting in the finish. Cedar? The finish is smooth and lacks that sharp hop bite I’ve come to enjoy in my IPA’s. Still, it’s not astringent, and that’s a plus. Medium to full body. A very nice beer. Thanks Jason.

Oct 26, 2009 This one poured a hazy orange color with an off white head. Aroma was sticky sweet malts, grapefruit, pine and cedar. Flavor was bright strong grapefruit, some pine, and then a big strong cedar taste to balance out the sweetness at the end. Very interesting beer.
