strong taste of alcohol, powerful hop aroma, but the bitterness and alc. overpower the malt too much for me.

Bottle. Deep golden -orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is malt, hop, pine, apricot. Flavour is malt, alcohol, hop, pine, grapefruit, peaches, apricot. Very nice beer.

Looks as expected. Smells pleasantly floral and exciting. Great mouthfeel. Tastes like clean bitter hops, subtle but supportive malt backbone. Bitter finish. Quality, quality ipa from CCB.

Till att börja med, detta är en helt fantastisk IPA. Rent ljuvlig att dricka. Mörkorange öl med gulvitt skum. Dofter från blomster och citrus. Smaker av päron, grapefrukt, skumbanan och melon.

Delicious. Pours hazy orange/gold with only very slight head that sticks to glass. Aroma is of pine and floral scents. Taste is strong with hops and increases sweetness throughout the tasting.

Jai Alai pours a dark orange color with a three finger fluffy white head. Lacing throughout. It really is a good looking pour. Now when this beer was first poured I was really disappointed in the smell. Very malty. This sounds weird but it almost had a soapy aroma to it. So I let it sit for a bit and as it warmed up the smell got better and better. A nice deep aroma of mango, citrus, and grapefruit. Nice bready malt background. Don’t jump right into this beer. Let it sit for a while. Maybe more than you would wait for other beers. Upon first sip the hops bite the tongue giving a nice bitter flavor and feeling. Piney and citrusy. Then comes a nice rich sweetness. Tasted like honey and tropical fruit. It’s once again backed up a sweet bready malt. Mouthfeel is kind of on the medium- heavy side. Creamy and nicely carbonated. If Cigar City gets one thing right it seems their mouthfeel is always top notch.

12 oz bottle. Hazy copper to amber color. Tropical aroma with mango, lemon, orange. Bittersweet flavor with mango, grapefruit and hint of toffee. Smooth bitterness, drinkable.

[ASPETTO] ambra ramato, velata [SCHIUMA] color panna, media presenza, compatta, media persistenza, residuo duraturo [ OLFATTO ] malto, caramello, burro, fruttato di fondo, leggero sentore alcolico [GUSTO] malto,con una iniziale dolce ( miele-caramello) che si mantiene vivo a lungo, lasciando poco a poco spazio agli amaricanti, che danno un accenno veloce di agrumi (buccia di pompelmo) per poi virare maggiormente verso note erbacee. Amaro che perdura nel finale con un leggero piccante speziato a cui contribuiscono note alcoliche molto discrete. retrogusto persistente, vegetale-resinoso ma con qualche refresh del dolce iniziale. un accenno di metallico. [TEXTURE] corpo medio, morbida ed oleosa in bocca; buona carbonazione; percezione alcolica contenuta [COMMENTO FINALE] IPA molto ben fatta, che per le componenti maltate evidenti che danno corpo e morbidezza, tende quasi verso le sorelle maggiori DOBLE ipa. Alcohol di tutto rispetto che però mantiene il suo ruolo da comprimario , dinamicizzando il finale. Amaricanti poco fruttati tendenti al vegetale-erbaceo; forse vittima dell’import che ne ha attenuato i toni più fruttati. Se rimaniamo nel mondo IPA, direi ottima, se facciamo finta che si possa parlare di DIPA, c’e’ qualcuno che fa meglio .. ma siamo già fra top brewers.
