4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
UPDATED: OCT 26, 2013 This is what an IPA should be a bit bitter but minimal... sweet counteracts the bitter to creat euphoria. Its on my top list when I head to Florida. I now have had a second time in bottle ... it stillis euphoria... great job guys!
Back in Bama... 2 years since i’ve had one... now in a can... still euphoria! Good job!

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle purchased from Bierkraft in Brooklyn. Fresh pine and grapefruit on the nose. Seems to be a litttle more tropical than some of this style. I get mandarin come through, as well as some a solid balanced between hops and malt

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle from PA. Pours a hazy orange color with a nice white head. Sweet hoppy citrus notes in the nose. Medium body with a slight resin oil left on your tongue. Grassy/Citrus hop notes up front that give way to a slight bitterness that is a bit drawn out and leaves a slight hop resin on your tongue. Great well balanced IPA that can please both hop-heads and those who enjoy the aroma and flavor of hops without being too bitter and overpowering. Overall: (A)

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
bottled. Huge citrus and fresh cut pine nose. A shit ton of hops, sweet malt, and wood leave an amazing palate. So drinkable. Oily & resinous on lips/tongue. Spot on.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 12, 2012 From a bottle into a thick highball glass. The pour is very nice, with a head that plays around, leaving "trails" behind as you drink it. Lacing is nothing special I’d say, but the timeline of foam is intriguing. A good sniff reveals citrus, and mild spices, overall a very floral scent. I would say I taste very fresh hops and bitter fruits, followed by sweetness of what I would describe as tangerine. This one finishes very well for an IPA, being very balanced in both in hoppy-ness and sweetness. Cigar City strikes again, and as usual, never disappoints.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Mike - thanks! Fair sized white head with dark copper color. Aroma is light bitter hops, resinous pine, sweet citrus, and noticeable caramel/malt on the back. Nice pine/citrus bite up front but the remaining 2/3rds is heavy malt, caramel, and an almost bready sweetness. I guess it’s technically an IPA but it is far too malty and the hop presence is not nearly as clean or large as I would prefer. Comes across more as a generic strong ale of some type with a hop influence than an IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Fabulous IPA. Refreshing, smooth and pure. Not overly citrusy as some IPA’s can be. I look forward to more of this beer as the weather turns warmer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2011 Solid, above-average IPA with nice hop presence, slightly citrusy and tropical. Sweetish malt body, light finishing bitterness. One of my favorite southern IPAs and certainly a great flagship beer.
e: Often just a bit too sweet for my liking.
