a very nicely balanced IPA, pours a musty orange with a thick white head. Nose and taste is a blend of floral hops.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: pours an apricot ale with under a finger of off-white head which falls to a sheet of the same with scattered cones. Ropes of lace. Limited clarity.
S: As I draw this in it is initially piny, woody and then there’s an explosion of fruitiness. Mango, pineapple and oranges. Really pleasant and intriguing.
T: Sweet and bitter. Plenty of bitterness followed up by a lemon and soapy flavor profile. Finish has a hint of metallic flavor.
M: Medium bodied with hi carb and a dry finish.
O: Well done, looking forward to having the white oak next.

Love this brewery. Visited when I was in Tampa and fell in love. Wish their beers were in Ohio. Got a few beers as an early Xmas gift. Tasted this from can. Slightly hazy orange with nice fluffy off white head with good lacing. Huge aroma. Off the charts citrus. Tons of tropical fruit. Grapefruit and orange mostly but some mango. Taste is just as good as aroma. Taste follows the nose with big notes of grapefruit and orange. Some earthy and pine notes there as well. Nice malty sweetness makes this one of the most balanced IPAs I've ever had. Just a nice constant steady bitterness without much late bite. Pretty complex taste. Medium bodied with a crisp and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Amazing IPA!

12 oz can. Hazy orange pour. Fizzy white head. Aroma of grapefruit, orange peel, and sweet fruits. Nice bitterness. Grapefruit, orange, and lemon rinds dominate. Waited a long time to find this. Glad it finally happened.

A fantastic IPA. Banana and citrus aroma. Nice blend of hops that give in complexity, balanced by a little sweetness. Exactly what an IPA should be.

12oz can. Poured a clear, medium amber color with a small off-white head. Aroma was bittter hops, tropical fruits (mango, pineapple and grapefruit). Flavor was mango, grapefruit. Pretty well balanced between the malts and hops, nice and crisp finish. This was pretty darn enjoyable.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Mouthfeel just a tad syrupy for my taste, but very fresh, citrusy hops and easy drinking at the same time it is robust and complex. A great IPA.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Excellent IPA, wish we could get it around here. Poured at a good temperature with a nice size, cream-color, foamy head that soon settles to a light cover and some lace. Color is a nice clear amber with some bubble trails. Aroma is equal parts hop& malt, some toffee, caramel, fruit, spice. Flavor’s like nose, great balance, clean, and just plain flat out yummy. Body/carbonation spot on. Finish is like taste, average length, no off flavs, and I want to drink this till the cows come home. Pity we can’t get it around here.

Hop forward aroma with bitter citrus flavor and bitter finish. Taste of definite oranges throughout. One of the better IPAs out there.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
FROM NOTES: October 18, ’13
A: Citrus aroma specifically of fresh oranges with some mango and pine notes also.
A: Pours burnt orange with a half-finger off-white head that dissipates quickly. Good lacing.
T: Follows the nose with topical orange rind followed by a big malt backbone. The pine notes balance the tropical notes with a good bitterness.
P: Medium, good carbonation, no alcohol heat.
O: This is every bit as tasty as Heady Topper. An excellent beer and one of the few AIPA that balances the hops perfectly.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Can: deep amber, nearly copper in color with mild clarity & tiny bits of sediment scattered around. The large, cloudy, pillowing white head retains excellently & leaves lots of chunky lacing behind. Aroma is brilliant; very juicy with big-time notes of tropical mango, papaya, tangerine, peach, possibly some apricot & grapefruit in the back-end as well. Smells like tropical juice - packed with fruit. Edges show a pungent, wet, lightly dank weediness. Taste also contains a huge fruit profile... Mango, pineapple, papaya, & gushing oranges. Mid-palate to finish shows some wet, pungent, oily & pine-y hop character. Powerful bitterness but never too harsh. Only a touch of light bread & toast in the aftertaste from the malt. Just a wet, grassy, juicy, fruity IPA - this stuff is seriously great.
