4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from Florida. Great hop nose and smooth pour. Great amber color and medium body. An awesome ipa and really more of an imperial ipa. Definitely get again.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I am drinking this today in honor of the great Hunahpu day debacle of 2014. We must remember in these troubled times that Cigar City is a good brewer who makes good brews. This beer in particular pours a hazy orange color w/ a rocky white head of mixed-sized bubbles. Up front, the nose is heavily pine centric w/ some floral notes in the background. It has a rich juicy texture and a touch of sweetness which brings out some citrus elements when you taste it. Finishes w/ a lingering sugary sweetness on the tongue and a little bit of earthy bitterness. I personally prefer my IPAs a little dryer than this and for the hop notes to be more citrusy than piny but this is a well brewed beer that gives hopheads a whole heck of a lot of what they want most.

Canned on 5 Nov 2013 (4 months 4 days old, or 124 days). Lightly orange, more towards yellow than orange. 1 finger head. Smell of faint grapefruit and citrus. Tastes like peach, grapefruit with very nice sharp bitterness that ends quickly. Taste is better than smell, blind tasted this with 3 other IPAs (Flying Dog SH Simcoe, Nebuchadnezzar) and it had remarkably lighter mouthfeel.

The nose is intense grassy hops. Very intensive. The beer itself starts very nice floral. the body is slightly sweet, but the nice floral hops are in the foreground. Pine, hints of citrus. Fresh cut grass. Very intense. The aftertaste is long, nicely bittered and slightly sweetish. The floral aroma lasts till the end and harmonises great.
A very nice and floral IPA. Probably a hint too sweet (at least for me) --> 11/12/11/12

Can 33 cl from Systembolaget. Hazy dark orange with a thin beige head. Orange marmelade, pine, citrus, very nice bitterness. Medium/full body, medium carbonation, bitter finish. Unfortunately lost quite a bit of the aroma.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear golden color with a medium white head. Strong pine, resinous aroma with some nettle notes. Hoppy flavor with just enough malt backbone to not keep it unidemnsional. Medium palate. Refreshing yet very tasty and flavorful. One of the more solid IPAs I have had in a long time.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Drinking this from a can so apologies for the lack of appearance notes. Aroma is juicy hoppiness. Mango, peach, canned pineapple. Lots of hops blended well with a lot of candy malt. Not overwhelming in the crystal department, but clearly using malt sweetness to enhance the fruit. Canned peaches are the dominant flavor. Very light bitterness for an IPA. Quite delicious.

Clear amber with white head and moderate lace. Floral notes with sweet malt and caramel aromas and taste. Well-balanced brew with hoppiness that leads to happiness! Medium bodies with good carbonation. Delicious and pure excellence as expected from CCB.
