Bottle acquired via trade with Homer321! Dark mahogany pour with chestnut highlights and a large latte head. Loads of very lactic milk chocolate, hint of molasses, oak, vanilla, and chalk. Almost powdery. Really interesting, but perhaps not intended. Seemed a little off the more I got into the bottle and as it warmed. Still not offensive in any way and very glad to have had the opportunity to try it!

750mL thanks to scotchzi at RBWG Grand Tasting. Pours clear brown with erupting foam, overcarbonated. Thick, semi rocky head retention. Nose is dusty, cocoa powder, vanilla, steak, lemon soap. Taste is dusty, dirty, earthy, sugary. Palate is very aerated, possibly infected. Papery and dry finish. Strange, but glad to have tried it.

RBWG thanks to scotchzi! Pours a thick brownish-black from the bottle with fluffy tan head and light lacing. Aroma of oak, vanilla, soy, roasted malt. Taste is slightly boozy, some coconut added to the aroma. Good stuff.

Pours a dark brown with creamy head. It has nice oak taste with hints of smoke and toffee. A lot going on in this porter.

Semi opaque dark brown beer. Short tan head. Palate is crispy and semi dry. Rich and bitter dark malt with raw wood tones. A little spice. Fairly dry finish. Nice enough but the oak is a little harsh.

Bottle thanks to Mikeluke23. Tulip glass give the black color you would expect. Low carbonation produces a thin ring of head. Nose is just a touch of roasted malt with a strong presence of oak. Unfortunately the taste is mostly the same. A big oak bomb. Big and woody. Picking out the malt is a hard task. More of a flat, dead mouthfeel. Not a bad beer in any sense just not what I was hoping for.

Pours pitch black, minimal head. Nose is heavy on the burnt oak, very woody with a hint of cocoa. Taste is HUGE wood oaky taste, some vanilla, some chocolate, some tobacco but this beer may have been better non-oaked.
