From trade with tampaheel...thanks, man! Pours deep brown with fairly persistent head. Nose is dark roasted malt and floral hops. Taste is same with a touch of caramel malt to give some balance but this is mostly an bitter hop driven beer. More of a black UP A and not my preference for porter.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Thick, dark khaki head. Pitch black.
Mellow, clean herbal nose, confused for banana type esters. Pale chocolate, baked bread.
Rich, powdery, lighter mouthfeel, crisp, herbal hops and creamy banana flavors linger.
An All-Day Porter. Top notch.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Nice dark brown pour with a thin espresso brown foam on top. Sweet aroma and flavors from the malt but a bit hop bitterness. Slightly charred aftertaste that I really appreciate in stouts and porters. Palate is perfect here, thick and heavy yet slick. A bit of carbonation, and very little alcohol profile, especially for 8 abv.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Murky, dark brown pour leads to a small tan head with fair retention and some skimpy lacing. Nose of licorice and faint roast, chocolate and some nuts. Body is medium with a dead carbonation, oily on the palate, little astringent, black patent? Dry, roasty malt flavors with some milk chocolate notes and a bit of coffee and pipe tobacco. Finish is fairly dry. Tough time finding hops in here. Obviously not enough to pierce through the darkness. Kick it up CCB! Bottle thanks to UDBeernut, thanks Art!

Poured from a bottle. Deep walnut with a large creamy tan head; also had some floaties in my glass. The aroma is chocolate and a sweetness than carries dark fruit notes. Also picking up a bit of toasted marshmallow as well as some coffee. The taste is medium-heavy sweet with the chocolate and smoky flavors coming through. The hops kick in to provide a bitter and slighly dry finish. The mouthfeel is creamy and filled with lactose. Carbonation is soft. Excellent porter.
